INTRODUCTIONHealth and social care in the UK is currently being influenced by increasingcommitments towards greater involvement of public. Health and social care organisation makestheir plans as per the needs and wants of people living in the society as well as specific problemsand issues in terms of health of the people. In this present assignment, Voluntary ServiceOverseas (VSO) of UK is chosen. It was found by Alec and Mora Dickson in 1958. It is aninteractional charity organisation which is working in more than 25 countries. This report willanalyse the impact of external factors on functions and operations of organisation. Further,culture of organisation will also be discussed in this report. At the end, concept of leadership inorganisation will be discussed.TASK 1Enclosed in PPTTASK 22.1. Compare and contrast different types of organisational structures in health and social care.There are number of organisational structures in Health and Social care which aredescribes as below-The Front-line- In Social health care, there are care takers which are the key persons ofthe organisation like nurses, nurse practitioner and physical therapist. They are called as frontline providers of services as because they give facilities to people (Castells and et.al., 2018). Toachieve this position in the health care field, it required proper skills and knowledge to provideproper care to patients. In VSO, front line staff are highly qualified and trained workers as theyare directly interacting with patients. Doctors, nurse and all other service providers in health carehas entire responsibilities regarding heath of patients.AssistantEmployees- Assistance employees are those who are responsible for ensuringhealth and social care is running in effective way. In health and Social Care organisation, it isvery essential to have extensive assistance staff. The staff of VSO is very effective as they arequalified and have full-fledge knowledge in health care field. It is the duty of Human Resourcedepartment of organisation to recruit the most skills and knowledgeable as well as qualifiedemployees in health care as any mistake or misshapenness by any employees may lead to loss oflife. In VSO, assistant employees like secretary, receptionists are well qualified. 1

Supervision- In health care organisation, it is very essential to have supervision staff forensuring the care providers are providing services in effective way or not and resolving theissues in health or patients. They are responsible for direct supervision as they have to visit thepatients at least twice a day (Fleming and et.al., 2017). Management- The management of health and social care are having responsibilities ofentire departments of organisation. They are responsible for all critical issues inside or outsideorganisation. Inside function includes employees, fund, equipment, tools and other critical issueswhile outside functions include marketing, finance etc. They are called administration oforganisation. 2.2. Analyse the concept of organisational culture in health and social care services. It is very essential to understand the behaviour of structure of organisation as care staff inHeath care they are managing demands that are considered external and internal social changes.In order to manage the human resources and patients, the abilities of organisational staff isstrongly affected as well as they are strongly affected by economic performance of VSO. Theculture of organisation should be like that it enhance the satisfaction level of staff as well aspatients. Communication skills plays a vital role in the concept of organisational culture. VSOstaff have effective communicating skills as they reach and answer any talk in positive and inelegant way with patients and with collogues (Ferri, Davoli and Perucci, 2018). The workingenvironment of VSO is very pleasant. In health care organisation, the first motive of developingand creating culture which is having positive interpersonal relations in between staff as well aspatients.It is very challenging task to create of develop constructive culture of organisation. Thetop level of VSO are creating a mission to build a strong and defines sense of aim for guiding theaspects of behaviour. In health and care organisation there is emotional attachment in achievinggoals and objectives of company. Teamwork also plays a vital role in heath and care organisationas it requires coordination efforts in giving services to patients. IN order to exchange theinformation regarding organisation, team work has a major role. Thus, investing in humanresource's management in heath care organisation helps in creating cultural aspects that providesbetter and strong level of satisfaction to patients. 2
