Introduction
 Stakeholder is described as any
individual group or party who have
active interest in a firm and the
results of its actions. For
organisations, it is vital to manage
their relationship properly with
stakeholder as they can assist them
to achieve firm's objectives
effectively.

Overview of case study
 Sheila Baker, who had first degree in
chemistry and part qualification in
pharmaceutical profession, joined a firm as
product development manager.
 Sheila manages a team of ten people who are
highly intelligent and well qualified.

Stakeholders
There were mainly ten stakeholders:
 Five were research workers
 Two were junior researchers
 Three who worked for either production or sales
environment
Apart from them:
 Company's research Director
 Team Leader
 Product Development manager

Important relationship
 For manager Sheila Baker, her
relationship with team of organisation
is more important.
 Baker's need to make effective
relationship with everyone on the team
to accurately the tasks which is needs
to be done.

Implications of relationships
 Relationship with research oriented
chemists and pharmacists will result in
producing effective product.
 Impelling relationship with team leader
will lead to effective product
development's activities.

Relationship Management Issues
 The research specialist team were
facing issue of being interfered in their
work by new manager.
 Improper relationship of experienced
members with research specialist
resulted in open exasperation as they
though the junior specialist's lack of
understanding of needs of production.

Theories
 System Management Theory- This
theory highlights that business are like
human body which comprises of several
attributes that should work harmoniously
so that larger system can operate
effectively.

 Classical management theory- This
theory emphasis on hierarchy in
organisation, specialising roles and one
leadership so that efficiency is
optimised within organisation.
 It states that effective management
relationship takes place in structured
setting of organisation with prescribed
roles.

Difficulties faced by Managers
 Sheila is facing issue with coordinated work of junior researchers with experienced
ones.
 As the team is highly intelligent and well qualified, she faced issue of not being
able to do more.
 Sheila felt unsatisfied with the way her unit was working as there were not working
as team.

How to make relationship more effective
 Improved communication within organisation
can make relationship more effective.
 Inspire and influence to stakeholders to work as
team can result in improved relationships.
 Properly handling conflicts arising within
workplace and by encouraging collaboration
can enhance relationship management.

Conclusion
 From the information presented above, it has been concluded that stakeholders
are crucial part of organisation.
 They assists firm to achieve determined goals by encouraging teamwork and
collaboration.
 Stakeholders relationship management is process of managing connections
with various stakeholders and communities to resolves conflicts arising due to
varied interests.
