Introduction
The paper mainly reflects on “Fujitsu Technology Solutions” which is one of the
European IT infrastructure providers that have presence in all the key markets including
Europe, India as well as Africa. It is found that the company generally helps in offering a full
portfolio of various IT products, solutions as well as services. The entire organization faces a
lot of issues due to high cost of maintenance and therefore wants to reduce its retaining
performance without disrupting its present services. However, Fujitsu generally creates
proper plan in order to transfer a number of its essential business systems for the demanded
Microsoft platform. As the organization is Microsoft Gold certified partner since the year
2002, one need to establish proper maintenance centre that is mainly staffed with the IT
professionals. In addition to this, proper training service is to provide to the project team that
have full competence in MOSS 2007. Moreover, the project mainly helps in proper
integration of MOSS as well as SAP platform.

Gantt Chart
The Gantt chart for providing the expert web support services by the organization
“Fujitsu Technology Solutions “is mainly provided below that reflects that the project will
get finished within 6 months’ time-period.

Significance of WBS and Gantt Chart
In context to the PMBOK knowledge area, it is found that the WBS and Gantt chart
which is developed for providing web service support by the Fujitsu Technology Solutions
are helpful in avoiding project failure and generally helps in increasing the profitability of the
project. The WBS that is created for providing proper web service support helps in
preventing the work slippage as they showcase the project deliverables which is needed to be
completed for accomplishing goals and for avoiding delay (Siami-Irdemoosa, Dindarloo, &
Sharifzadeh, 2015). In addition to this, the WBS helps in providing proper understanding
about the work activities that needs to be executed within the project and as a result the
project team can be able to work properly on those project activities and can be able to
accomplish the project goals quite effectively (Ong, Wang & Zainon, 2016). Furthermore, it
is found that the Gantt chart which is created helps in setting realistic timeframes that helps in
indicating the time period in which a project activity will get executed and thus the project
managers can be able to keep track on the project and handles the project if the project goes
out of track. As time plays an important role within the life of the project therefore a Gantt

time delays while successfully managing the project and avoids failure in providing web
service support.

Critical Path and Measures
As there is only one path therefore the below path is considered as the critical path. The path
that is reflected below helps in showcasing the sequence of the stages that are mainly
determined by the minimum time which is mainly required for executing the project.
1.1>1.3>1.4>2.2>2.3>2.4>3.1>3.3>3.5>4.1>4.2>4.3
The main aim of the critical path method is to identify the duration of the project that
is mainly based on the length of the critical path which is considered as one of the sequences
of interdependent activities (Dorfeshan et al., 2019). It is found that the CPM helps in
allowing effective coordination of various activities within the entire project. It is found that
if the tasks that are present on the critical path gets executed on time then it can ensure that
the entire project will get accomplished within the time duration that estimated. However, if
the task gets delayed on the critical path then the entire project will face delay as a whole.
Thus, if all the activities get executed on time then it can be easily ensured that the web
service support by the Fujitsu technology solution will be provided on time.
Significance of CPM in Project Risk Management
The critical path method is a step by step technique in project management that helps
in properly planning the project which further helps in defining the critical as well as non-
critical tasks with the proper goal of preventing time-frame issues and process bottlenecks.
The activities that are present in the critical path needs to be executed on timely basis for
avoiding delay (Deacon & Van der Lingen, 2015). If the activities which are present on the
critical path faces delay then it is reflected that the entire project will face delay and therefore
the project managers need to take proper steps so that they handle the delay of that activities
properly for avoiding further issues due to delay in the project. Therefore, it is identified that

critical path method helps in preventing the risks as well as challenges that occur due to
project delay or because of schedule slippage.
Conclusion
It can be concluded from the entire paper that the organization is able to provide
expert web support service. It is found that a considerable ongoing saving with the help of
outsourcing web service support services from UK to Russia is provided. In addition to this,
it is identified that the operational efficiency of the web support service gets incremented and
all the different key performance indicators are generally met in the project. In addition to
this, the paper showcases the utilization of WBS and Gantt chart and how they are helpful in
making the entire project successful and assists in avoiding delay. Moreover, it is analyzed
that the utilization of critical path method within the project is mainly helpful in avoiding the
various types of risks that are related with the schedule of the project. Furthermore, smooth
project handover of the entire project is done successfully.
