Introduction
This report is about the development of an information system for the business of a
company. The case of Free Feet Socks Limited is being discussed in this report. The company is
looking to expand their businesses with the expansion in the number of customer for the
business. But currently the company makes use of the old system in which all the task of the
have to be performed manually. But this involves a lot of delay and complex procedures. Hence,
for the company the owner has adopted the strategy to implement an information system for the
company so that they can perform their task in a simpler manner. In addition to this, the owner of
the company wants to implement the system with the use of adaptive methodology.
The report has been used for the discussion of the different approaches of adaptive
methodologies that can be implemented by the company for the development of the information
system for the company. The advantages and the disadvantages of the Scrum, XP and UP models
have been provided in this report.
Scrum Methodology
The scrum model is one of the very efficient model that is used as an adaptive
methodology for the development of the information system for the company. Scrum isn't only a
system; it is a structure that must be shaped as required by the real venture where it is being
utilized. The Scrum model is helpful for the project team as this model aids in the group in
designing of the project and also this model is very useful in saving time and money for the
organization. This model also keeps the employees and the staffs of the companies focused on
their projects.
