1. Introduction
The paper mainly reflects on the information system development for the organization named
“International charity Foundation” that mainly engages in helping the young people for realizing
their potential with the help of medical as well as educational assistance in different countries. It is
found that the organization currently utilizes manual processes in order to record the personal
details of the children’s who needs support. The current system that is used by the organization
creates number of issues and in order to resolve those issues, the organization wants to automate
the manual system. It is found that the main aim of the report is to develop an information system
so that the problems that are associated with the manual system can be easily resolved and the
organization will be able to enrol the children’s for ICF programs by utilizing online application forms.
The objectives of the report are elaborated below:
 To develop an information system for the organization ICF
 To enrol the children with the help of the ICF programs
 To automatically keep track of income as well as expense
2. Approach to Systems Development
It is found that before determining an approach for the development of the information system for
ICF, it is quite necessary to specify the various needs of the system. The requirements as well as
features of the system that is proposed is elaborated below:
Portal for the clients: It is quite necessary to have a portal for the clients so that they can be able to
donate money within the help of online payment gateway and the payment which is made will be
collected directly within the bank account. The clients will receive a receipt for the donations which
is generally made at the end of the year (Polivka 2015).
Tracking the stock: Tracking the stock is considered as one of the significant feature that is mainly
utilized for tracking the stock that is available. It is found that with the feature the stock can be
checked before purchasing the foods as well as resources in order to avoid wastage.
Online enrolment system: The system will generally have a feature that will be helpful in providing
online enrolment to the children’s who needs financial help for their education as well as healthcare
(Chen and Shen 2015). It is found that with the development of information system, the procedure
of enrolment will be made online so that no manual handling will be required for the procedure of
enrolment.
It is found that the most significant system development method that is generally required for the
system will be rapid application development method. It is found that in this method of system
development, prototyping method is generally utilized for designing as well as testing the features of
