Executive Summary:
The purpose of the report is to examine the strategic information system of Gracious
Industries which is a private limited company and needs a recommendation of Enterprise
Resource Planning. Due to some loss in accounts that were important to the company and the
reason being that it could not produce some products that could not compete in the market. This
report focuses on the current need for Gracious Industries for the business to run efficiently and
its need for accounting software to do the business for successful and feasible. The report
discusses various system software vendors, and their features and functionalities comparison is
also made to look for a vendor that can meet all the business requirements and needs. The
strategies that can be implemented by the Gracious industries while following up different
measures to implement the ERP system has also been discussed.

Introduction
Gracious Industries:
Gracious Industries is a company which is private limited and had a revenue of
$10.5 million in the past year. Gracious Industry is a supplier of electronic goods that
has its supplies in various businesses and supermarkets and has been doing business
over 40 years. The recent loss the company faced in its key accounts because of the
competition in the market. There has been a growth in the orders the company has
received in past years in the product range known as green product. The competition
over the market has enables Gracious Industries to lose some key accounts and it was
unable to produce the products in the price competitive rane. The company then hired
an accountant to keep tabs of the books on accounting and producing statements that
was financial every year. The company realized recently that they need more than just
an accountant to keep the business accounts at hand. The company hence thought of
investing on a software that would handle all their accounts for them in order to cut out
the lost revenue’s.
To keep the business up-to-date and efficient the company has decided to invest
and implement an Enterprise Resource Planning software to maintain its accounts and
give the business arise.The software enables the business it is implemented on to
manage processes of applications that are integrated and automates the business
management functions of technologies (Leon, 2014). The integration of all the important
functionalities to one system that can organise processes well across the entire
information system. The main feature of the system software is to have a shared
database which can support several tasks used in the several units of business.
Enterprise Resource Planning helps the users to discover process that is complex
without any difficulty by not allowing re-entry of data and improvement in production,
completion and deliveries which increases the productivity and efficiency in return.
Implementing the systems software will enable the Gracious Industries to deduce the
costs of labour, expenses in the Information Technologies and there will be an
