Introduction
IT can be defined as an merged set of factors which helps to collect, store and process data
and in return provide appropriate knowledge about the product to any organisation. Business
trusty rely onto these solutions as they manage their operating activities and carry out their
interaction with their suppliers and customers in the market place. Business firms also use
information systems to manage their human resources and financial accounts and in order to
promote promotion to reach out to more potential customers.
Big data can be defined as the data which is includes a great variety and more velocity with
big volumes. In more simple language, it is a database with more complexity and is very big
in nature(Bezdan and et. al., 2022). To analyze these big data, the advanced techniques and
tools is used to lower the complexity and it can be presented in such a way that can be
understood by everyone.
Task 1: Theories, methods and techniques which relate to the
design and development for TWO of the IT solutions listed
here: (i) McAfee; (ii) Moodle; (iii) Canvas; (iv) MS Office
CANVAS: It can be characterized as management system which helps in supporting online
teaching and learning. It is a part of HTML5 which is majorly used for designing and to make
business model. The companies however have big relationships with the most major
companies and with small and large ventures in order to have the right to access their want of
information technology. This actually has two sizes of element itself and size of element's
drawing surface. No doubt that canvas is the one most active and the largest connected
education community where people can have an endless source of innovation and support.
Methods and techniques:
ļ‚· Begin path is the first method which is basically used to start the path which an single
is going to draw on the canvas. It is considered as a very good creativity as when one
starts using vitality he may get the connection lines which are only obvious in
animations. This purpose however resets the whole path and start again(Diaferia and
et. al., 2022).
ļ‚· Move to is the second method acting or technique which takes any two disputation
and will make the starting point of any point. This will help the user to again start the
shape that he was making while using the canvas software from a special starting
point. However, an individual can again change the starting point according to the
situation by dynamic the values of the arguments.
MS OFFICE: This is a very productive application which is designed by Microsoft in order
to be useful for the businesses. It is basically very known in every organisation or business as
it is the leading application and is very easy to understand by the people that do not have
much knowledge about the software. It includes all the office related and document handling
work and has a six cores which are power, point, word, access, publisher, one note and excel.
The applications of the Microsoft runs very quick and are mainly automated for the
development and the task of managing the files. One should have to take the monthly
subscription in the Microsoft to be able to perform all the six cores it offers and it usually can
be used in all devices including mobile phones and computers and also covers all the web
platforms for completing the tasks(Dowaidar and et. al., 2022).

Methods and techniques:
ļ‚· It shows the actions very promptly within the petition itself which makes the work of
an individual very time efficient and also the fruitfulness to complete the tasks
allotted.
ļ‚· Microsoft also render many attachments which are all tied up in one single software
hence, no individual software is needed.
Task 2: Explanation of the systems below with relevant examples
DSS (Decision Support System)
It is a computerized program which is used to support end point, judgments, and courses of
action in the company. It is used to analyze the large amount of data and assembling all the
necessary information that can be a very helpful source for decision-making. It includes
target or proposed revenue, sales or past data from different years and other inventories. DSS
is different normal operating application which main function is to only collect the data and
not analyzing it. Decision support system is used by the operative sections which aggregates
the data and give it to the managers for further decision making. It also evolves the
interpersonal communication inside the organization(Jewell and et. al., 2022).
ESS (Executive Support System)
It is executive support system which is a type of direction system that facilitates and supports
senior executive information and needs for decision making. It ensure easy access to
extraneous and internal information related to organizational goals. It is normally considered
a specialized form of DSS. It shows the graphical data and easy to use, they offer powerful
coverage and best capabilities. Executive support system helps the senior managers to
manage decision making in the way it provides both internal and external information in
summarized and effective form. It traces quickly the new current trends, opportunity or any
problem.
TPS (Transaction Processing System)
It is the way of parting the data and divides the transaction process in some of the major parts
and it is the software system and combination of software and hardware. It gives the
opportunity to tap raw market which helps in growth of business in every segment.
Transaction system works in two processing ways that are processing in batch and processing
in real time. In processing with batch the data is collected and combined in batches.
MIS (Management Information System)
Management information system is done with the use of people, info and business process for
stocking, recording and processing data for efficient decision devising in day to day premises.
The components of management information system are people who is going to use the
information system, data in which information is prerecorded, business operation is the way

of storing and storing data, hardware which pertains the printers, digital computer and
networking equipments and the software which handles all the data. There are various types
of information system that are transaction processing system, management information
system and decision support scheme (Khaire and et. al., 2022).
KSM (Knowledge Management System)
It is the tool which is used by the firms to help in organizing documentation, this software can
help in keeping every document compiled up to the date, help customers in getting their
doubts cleared. It is valuable for both small business and big ventures.
Task 3: Globalization and the effects of IT on globalization
Globalization can be defined as the interconnection with the rest of the world in the field of
cultural and trade exchange. Because of the globalization the production of goods and
services in each country has increased as now they don't only produce it for the domestic
consumption but also keeping in mind the foreign trade in more than one country with the
permission of free flow of goods and services and capitals among the countries. This not only
helps the country to generate more wealth but also give the countries a chance to remove the
tag of rich and poor countries andbe competitive to each other. One of the benefit of
globalization to the developing countries is they can have more cost effective jobs. It has
basically changed the international trade and its laws globally.
The easy trade of information in crosswise countries is however regulated by the invention of
information technology (IT). Technology in the wave of globalization has enabled all the
software experts to work together with the companies all over the world. This however also
helped in a lot of new and advanced creation and growth of every company globally as well
as the markets (Kumagai, 2022).
There are many effects which IT has on globalization. Some of them are as follows:
ļ‚· ACCESS TO THE TECHNOLOGY: When globalization has not taken place, there
were only few people who were given the chance ti use the advanced and modern
technology to make their tasks more easy. After globalization, however, now a
number of people can use the technology in almost every filed without nay restriction
on them and can achieve many knowledgeable thing s without site blocking.
ļ‚· CHEAPER TECHNOLOGY: One of the major reason why the number of people
using technology was less as it was the finest invention till date and was very
expensive when introduced to the people. But as globalization has taken place, the use
of technology increased and hence it become more cheaper than usual which helped
in creating an information based tech environment in the whole world.
ļ‚· INCREASING NUMBER OF SOFTWARE AND HARDWARES: people before
the whole globalization barely knew anything about using any software and hard ware
in the tech world. We need proper software for the constant working of hardware and
they both are considered important as they can make a huge difference to the way we
work and help us to complete the task with full efficiency. After globalization this
also helped a lot in the IT sector (Luo and et. al., 2022).

Task 4: Definition, example, advantages and disadvantages of
digital infrastructure
It is the core service that is very essential to information application abilities of a nation,
location, urban center or organization. It is the platform which provides the foundation of the
firm information technologies and other operational activities. Examples of digital
infrastructure are as follows:
ļ‚· Internet broadband: it is the property of internet which is very easy to use at
workplace where there is high demand for the fast internet connectivity all around
different regions, nations, cities or developed areas. It may regard submarine
communications cables and installation that are used by tier 1 networks for the links.
There are some of the advantages of digital infrastructure and they are as follows:
ļ‚· Connects people and places: there are so many social platforms on which people do
make new connecting, have chats and share pictures with each other, some of the
examples are Facebook, Instagram and twitter. These platforms have helped people
to know each other better and be formal with each other (Priyadarshi and et. al.,
2022).
ļ‚· Improve productivity: It leads to higher employee engagement by authorized
employees to make advised decisions quickly, which allows them to experience a
cooperative work environment that enables them to share innovative ideas that lead to
healthy business growth.
ļ‚· Increase economic growth: A larger stock of infrastructure is thought to fuel
economic growth by reducing the cost of production and transportation of goods and
services; by increasing the productivity of input factors; and by creating indirect
positive externalities.
There are some of the disadvantages of digital infrastructure which are as follows:
ļ‚· Data security: it is the most amount of data that can be collected and saved. The
information must be very confidential and concerning individual in the organisation, it
is very difficult to keep the data safe. Just a single breach can lead to leak of
information (Safaei-Farouji and Kadkhodaie, 2022).
ļ‚· Crime and terrorism: the internet fertility territory for the force to operate , it is
harmful because terrorists might use social media to promote themselves and
encourage others, drug dealers using the dark web to trade and sell their drugs
illegally and sharing the information with each other easily which can be the negative
impact on our environment.
ļ‚· Complexity: Nowadays it is very evident to have problems in each electronic device
or machine even when repairing a car there is more complicated, also taking pictures
can involve tackling all sort of difficult things. Minor glitches in the operations of an
laptop can cost both time and money.
ļ‚· Privacy concerns: it is so difficult to keep everything private as it is very
sophisticated data which is being shown on the social sites and it is very confidential
and that shouldn't be shared with so many people around the internet(Sharma and et.
al., 2022).
Task 5: Risks connected with information systems outsourcing
and why is IT infrastructure so critical to digital
transformation
6
Document Page
Risks associated with information systems outsourcing
There are some of the risks that are there in information outsourcing as it is very critical
process and hard task to do so some of the risks are discussed below:
ļ‚· Possibility of weak management: When the data is being sourced then there are high
possibility of management getting annoyed although, there are so m,any solutions
available through centralized defense reaction poor performance is ā€œrealā€ or
imagined, or whether top managementā€™s views are rational or affective. consider the
likely causes or context of poor performance.
ļ‚· Inexperienced staff: Some of the well-known IT company have the best IT expert as
it it is the main task in these institutions but in other companies there might be lack of
IT expert and then they lack behind some difficulties and as information technology is
crucial, they do not perform well in terms of engineering and promotion.
ļ‚· Business uncertainty: If a firm decides to outsource IT services because of costs or
focus, it is assumptive that its future direction and needs are clear. For example, the
parent of a funding company that had suffered losses for the first time asked it to cut
costs. The CEO saw IT as the businessā€™s highest single cost center, and the outsourced
as many IT services as possible to save costs (Sherugar and et. al., 2022).
Why is IT infrastructure so critical to digital transformation!
Digital infrastructure can be defined as the way of enabling business agility and powering
user experiences that origins customers action and commitment. IT structure has always
played an crucial role in the filed of digital transformation. The change of digital
transformation in every filed always helped people to respond faster keeping in mind the
environment and then to make modular data, content, riles and regulations and many more
things that will assist people to connect to other people and places as well. Many concerns
miss the chance to have a contemporary and forward-looking use of application due to the
mindset about the role of IT section(Tormalm, 2022). When talking about the importance of
IT on digital transformation in companies, it acts as an important network of data sets for the
company and if any company fails to recognize this importance in the market. In simple
words, all the data of an company including the records, files, big data and all the technical
things are managed by the technical department and after globalization when the use of
technology is the priority in every filed, if the firm fails to invest a good amount on the IT
sector, it will automatically lead them out of the race. Today, time is all about money and
digital transformation basically means more business and more amount of information in the
form of data is processed in the real time which in fact only depends on the data center.
Lastly, in order to cope up in the competition, a company needs to focus on building its
networks and moving forward to adapt more IT and use of technology as it increases the
efficiency and reduced the cost of production which will help the firm to grow
globally(Sukheswalla and et. al., 2022).

Conclusion
In this respective report it can be concluded that the IT is very important and crucial part in
modern world and almost all the organizations are doing this thing by implying new and
advanced technology in their organization which is helping them a lot to work with the
complete formality. There are some of the risks and limitations of data outsourcing and some
of the benefits also and explanation of digital infrastructure made it understood that it is very
basic and most need in organization. There are some of the risks that are included in the
outsourcing part and globalization is very basic in terms of IT infrastructure and effects of
