The existence of the information system in the today's era has been
extended. The individual is not able to understand the presence and position of
information system in the daily routine life(Al Jallad, Aljnidi and Desouki, 2019). With
the help of this techniques effective utilization of information has been done by the
firm due to which they are able to make appropriate decision for their business and
more ahead from the competition in the competitive market area. The Information
system is basically comprises of the research of network of hardware and software
which help the business organization in collect, make and filter out the needed
information. The aim behind the big data analytic is to support the business
organization by providing them big data. With the help of these data the firms are
able to make the effective decision in accordance to the success of the business.
The following report is going to cover the different theories, method and techniques

relevant examples. This report also cover the effect of information technology on the
globalization and the advantage and disadvantage of the digital infrastructure.
Afterwords this report cover the risk which is associated with the information system

McAfee :- the McAfee is a corporation which was founded in 1987 by JOHN
McAfee. The headquarters of the respective company is situated in San Jose,
California. The McAfee was acquired by the Intel in the year 2011 and now the firm
has become one of the most important part of the security division of the Intel
company(Almeida, 2018). The McAfee is a well known global security brand of
America who deals in the development of digital security tools for the computers and
other several security devices. Now the management of the company is start
focusing on the security of the mobile devices. The digital security tools which are
developed by the McAfee company provide safety to the system form various types
of viruses, bots, attacks, worms and many more. These software also protect the
information within the system from the codes even few of the codes are in the file of
the software which are compressed. These tools also act as a protector against the
several threats like spams, phishing attacks, websites hacking, malicious and many
more. The system of filtering, standardize and anti virus gives these outcomes. In
addition to this, the HTML text which are involves in the Microsoft Outlook also
safeguard by these digital security tools. Following are the advantages of the McAfee
has been discussed below.
Cleaning of the Spams and unstoppable malware.
Proper safety from the attack of viruses and hacking.
Improve the performance of the system and minimizes the impact of
viruses.

introduced by Bill Gates in 1990 at COMDEX in Las Vegas. In the first version of
this software Microsoft word, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Power Point has been
comprises. It is a copyright product of the Microsoft company who were specialized
in providing document managing software. In around thirty five languages MS Office
has been available in the market and along with this, this software was verified by
Windows and MAC security. Nowadays, Microsoft office is comprises of different
elements such as M.S Word, M.S Excel, M.S PowerPoint, M.S Access, One Note,
Outlook and Publisher applications. In addition to this three most important and
essential elements of the MS Office which have been used all over the globe are MS
word which is a document processor, MS excel which is a spreadsheet and MS
Power Point used for visual presentation. Over the year the different applications of

the MS office has been evolve and many new features has been introduces by the
company like spelling checker, finding the grammatical error, OLE data integration
and scripting language (Athanasis and et. Al, 2018). Moreover to this these
application can be used by the user in the IOS processor and android phones. The
desktop version of the Microsoft office is the most widely used version all across the
globe. The advantage of the MS Office has been discussed below:-

all these information system software helps in the different levels of the firms
like strategic level, management level, operational level, knowledge level and many
more. The different types of support system has been discussed below :-
DSS (Decision Support System)
Decision support system :- this is basically a desktop application which is being
used by the organization in their decision making at the different level of
management. With the help of this support system all the available information has
been effectively evaluate and then best option has been selected from the available
options which is beneficial for the firm(Madrid, 2019). The main operation of the DSS
is to easily collect all the data and knowledge from the target sections of the firms.
The main objective of this DSS framework is to help the management of the
company in making effective and proper decision. This framework is basically
comprises of three elements i.e. user database, software, and knowledge interface
due to which effective decision making has been done. Cagoules, product
specification, policies, procedure and many more are some of the example of the this
information system.
ESS (Executive Support System)
Executive Support System :- this support system basically help the top level
management of the company. With the help of this support system all the information
which is beneficial for the top management has been provided in regarding to the
decision making process of the company(Chang and et. al., 2018). The decisions
which have been taken by the higher authorities of the firm impact the all over
functioning of the organization which comprises the worker, finances and many
more. So, for making the effective decision reliable base of information has been
required.
TPS (Transaction Processing System)
Transaction Processing System :- this support system help the firm in performing
the daily functioning and practices of the company in a very effective manner. This
support system is totally depend on the nature, size and working of the company.

MIS (Management Information System)
Management Information System :- this support system is very useful for decision
making which is done by the middle level manager of the company. The main of the
management information system (MIS) is to collect the information form the
Transaction Processing System (TPS) and then forward the collected information at
the same time in different kinds like reports, responses, display and many more.
KSM (Knowledge Management System)
Knowledge Management System :- the first and the foremost objective of the
Knowledge Management System ( KMS) is to enhanced the collected data and
make sure that the collected information and skill has been effectively incorporated
with in the firm in a very effective and proper manner(Fiorini and et. al., 2019). In
addition to this, this system also support the firm in evaluating the external
knowledge of the current market area of the company. Some of the example of the
Knowledge Management System are design systems, virtual reality and fiscal
working area.
Task 3: Globalization and the effects of IT on globalization
The concept of globalization is very hard and lengthy it is very difficult to explain this
term in a single piece of definition. Globalization may be defined as a process in
which independent and free flow of product has been done across the boundaries of
the countries. In addition to this, interrelation of the firms and flow of funds all across
the globe has also been included in the globalization. With the help of globalization
the organization is able to expand their business form domestic market to
international market. In the year of 1900 the progress of globalization has been

The advancement of technology is being considered as the main factor for the
evolution of globalization all across the globe. With the help of this kind of

ethical. After the arrival of information technology, barriers related to trade has been

Digital infrastructure is basically refers to the digital technology which helps the firm
in performing their different business functions in a very effective manner and also
support the information technology (Zhou, 2020). Some of the example of the digital
infrastructure are broadband mobile telecommute, digital websites, several cloud
services, application, software and many more. Cloud services is also known aloud
computing which is being considered as one of the most trending technology all
across the globe . In the modern era, most of the organization is shifting towards the
cloud computing which help them in achieving a successful growth in the competitive
market. As technology came in the market with pros and cons. So the advantages
and disadvantages has been discussed below :-
Advantages :- the most important benefit which have been seen in the digital
infrastructure is that, with the help of cloud services the lost data can be easily
recovered. The another benefit of the cloud services in respect to the user digital
infrastructure is that the use of the services can effectively and easily share the data.
Their is no data imitation and full data transparency is their due to which security in
relation to the sharing of the personal data has been increases. The another benefit
related to the digital infrastructure is the accessibility of the cloud computing. The
use of these services can effectively adopt this and also store their data from any
where the world(Khanra, Dhir and Mäntymäki, 2020). With the help of internet
connection the user can do all these things without taking so much time. The
performance and efficiency of the firms has been increases because the data of the
firms are easily available to the user with the help of cloud infrastructure of internet.
In addition to this, low maintenance cost is also being considered as the most
important advantage of the digital infrastructure. Both the hardware and software
charges of maintenance has been cut down because of the cloud services. The data
which have been store, effectively managed with full security.
Disadvantages :- internet connection or connectivity has been required to enjoy the
cloud services and this is being considered as the most important disadvantage of
the digital infrastructure. In order to access the all the time the user is required to
have an internet connections. Along with this , the vendor lock is being considered
as an another disadvantage of the digital infrastructure. The organization are going
to depend on the multiple cloud services providers. Hybrid cloud tactics has been
used by the companies due to which difficulty has been faced by them in managing
the infrastructure team.

related to ISO has been discussed below :-
Employees and inexperienced staff members of the company is being
considered as one of the major risk in relation to the management of the
outsourcing process. It is very important for the employee to posses the
appropriate knowledge in relation to the outsourcing.
Hidden cost is also the most important risk which is related to this. It is very
important for the user to anticipate the technical issues and how much they
can save.
Why is IT infrastructure so critical to digital transformation!
The infrastructure of the information technology is critical good for the digital
transformation. The whole IT system of the company is totally depend on this
because it is the foundation. It is very important for the firm to understand the need

has been required for this implementation due to which they are able to focus on
