INTRODUCTION
An information system can be defined as the formal and social-technical organisational system
responsible for designing to process or collect and Store or distribute information. It covers 5
mechanisms: computer hardware and software along with the telecommunications and databases
followed by human resources and processes. Such software devices are mostly utilised in
professionalism like in an organisation to conduct the complicated activities or functions in the
company to make it easy to perform which helps in decision making and storing of big data
which is to be analysed for future considerations (Rainer, Prince, Splettstoesser-Hogeterp and
Ebrahimi, 2020). An information system is all about the management of data in an organisation.
Big data is the large amount of data that the company contains for Data Analytics and future
decision-making strategically. Hence, it is important to manage the small or large amount of data
in an enterprise to better its functioning. Therefore, the following discussion is based on the
theories, methods, and techniques of the information technology solutions, such as Microsoft
Office and McAfee, explaining different Information Systems such as decision support system,
ESS, TPS, and MIS and KMS. Idea of globalisation and its consequence on data technology on
globalisation. Explanation of digital infrastructure along with its advantages and disadvantages
and examples. The various risk associated with information system Outsourcing and the critical
nature of Information Technology infrastructure to digital transformation with pertinent findings
and conclusion.
Task 1
Describe theories, methods, and techniques of the IT solutions.
An information system can be defined as the software which is responsible for performing the
particular task in the company in a technical manner such as these system helps in decision
making, data analysis, operations and management, financial and human resource management
and many more as per the needs and requirements of the organisation by using the technical
resources from the company. Therefore, information technology is a solution to the problem in
every company because it saves time, energy and cost by providing relevant software and
hardware to make the business functioning effectively and efficiently (Bourgeois and Bourgeois,
2014).
