The information system is a set of an interconnected components which collect,
manipulate, store data and distribute the information to help decision making and give a
feedback mechanism in order to monitor the performance. All the organizations and firm rely
on the information system in order to manage and carry out their operation, compete in
market and interact with customers or and suppliers. Big data include the managing of data
sets so large that the traditional processing application software is inadequate to capturing,
managing, curating and processing the data in a reasonable time period. These big data used
to predict the behavior of user analytic (Agarwal and El-Sayed, 2018). This report will be
based on the different theories and techniques related to the IT solutions, ESS, DSS, TPS,
MIS and KSM globalization and effects of IT on the globalization, advantage and
disadvantage of the digital infrastructure and risk of related with information system
outsourcing.
Task 1: Theories, methods and techniques which relate to
the design and development for TWO of the IT solutions
listed here: (i) McAfee; (ii) Moodle; (iii) Canvas; (iv) MS
Office
Information technology solution is combination of the different software services or
programs. Theses software are combined or sols as a single package. The information
technology is a wide term which include development, installing an d the use of anything to
do with telecommunications and computing. There are various kinds of the information
technology solutions which are discussed below:
Canvas- This is an IT solution which is a management consulting and technology services
company. It has an extensive relationship with the leading organization or companies of all
size, small and big, to serve their needs for information technology. It provide a tool to help
in the online learning in different way. It can be ranged from the structured learning pathway
to interactive virtual organization. Os it is a visual representation of a business model that
detail all important key strategic factors. It make able the organization to visualize, design
and reinvent their business model. Fro many startup business, it help them in developing a
clear view of their operation, value proposition, finance and customers (Catão and Obstfeld,
2019).
MS office- The Microsoft Office is considered as piece of the desktop fecundity Application
which is designed by the Microsoft for business concern. From a long time period, the MS
office continuously enjoying preponderating model in delivering of a modern office which is
related documents handling software environment. Presently the Microsoft office is is
available around 35 different languages. There six major program in the MS office which are
power point, word, publisher one note and access. Along with this, there are main mainly
three Microsoft word that include Microsoft excel which is a spreadsheet, second is Microsoft
word that work as a word processor and third is power point that considered as a visual
presentation too. (Yau, Khethavath and Figueroa, 2019).

DSS (Decision Support System)
This is know as a computerized system or programs that is used to help
determinations, judgment and the course of actions within workplace. It gather and analyze
the data, synthesizing in in order to produce the comprehensive information reports. The
decision support system is different from an ordinary operation applications that perform the
functions of data collecting. DSS allows the user and organization or some more informed
decision making, improved efficiency and timely problem solving to deal with different
issues or planning and operation (Dhindsa, Bhandari and Sonnadara, 2018).
ESS (Executive Support System)S
It is human resources technology which enable the employees or individual to
perform different job roles functions including updating personal information, applying for
the compensation and access the organization welfare information. This system help the top
level authority of the organization in their decision making process by providing all required
information. The top management mostly take such type of decision which effect the entire
organization including employees. A strong reliable data is required for such type of
management's decisions. The Executive Support System serve an improved display
alternative as compare to DSS (Oppelt, 2018).
TPS (Transaction Processing System)
It is a software which keeps tracks of the transaction by processing data in the online
recording system. It make ensure that the related data are added and deleted from database
simultaneously. For glassy functioning and data to day operational activities of organization
require to process transactions. It is different as it depend on the company to company and
their working system. Examples of TPS are payroll, sales order entry, employee's record,
hotel reservation system and shipping (Rodriguez, and Erazo, 2021).
MIS (Management Information System)
MIS is considered as a set of the combined procedure which gather and also produce
relevant, reliable and properly organization data. Theses data support the company's decision
making process. It is a useful tool;s that is used by the organization with purpose of the
reviewing and controlling operation of the company. It is formulated to help the middle
manger in their decision making. Aim of the MIS is to implement the organizational system
and process. Examples of the MIS are Fleetmatics Work, Microsoft Dynamics, Tharstern
Limited and many more (Di Ruggiero, 2020).
KSM (Knowledge Management System)
This type of the information technology system which stores and retrieves the
knowledge in order to improve collaboration, understanding and process alignment. The
KSM can survive in organization but they can be used to center their knowledge base for
their user and customers. KSM contain s system that which is used to sharer the file and

Task 3: Globalization and the effects of IT on globalization
The globalization is a world that describe increasing inter dependencies of universe's
cultures, populations and economies , brought by the cross border dealing in goods or
services, investment flow, people, technology and information. Globalization is an expansion
of national and local limits of a business with free floe of their goods and services across the
international market. The information technology has secured the gait of globalization. By
the development of IT people can connect with anyone and in every corner of the universe
(Muc, 2021). the technology has enable software experts to work as collaborative over
network in the origination from around the globe. The innovate in technology helped mush in
the creation and growth of the global market. Advancement of the globalization is introduced
during 1990. at this time the technical progress firstly made with the up gradation of telegram
to telephone and invention of the airplane made to peoples to travel across to border of a
nation easily. With the innovation of latest technology it bring many change in the
globalization and make very easy to trade at global level. The information technology effect

Effect of IT on the globalization
Globalization spreading out the operations and desegregating other countries as well.
Technology is most strongest tool used to integrate the world as a whole as well as
innovations with the help of technology gives competitive advantage other firms.
Good code of conduct can also be achieved by using technology.
With the rise in globalisation practices, trade related barrier such huge amount of the
tariff can be minimized. An easy mobility of elements and cost of the transportation
also achieved (Doudou, Bouabdallah and Berge-Cherfaoui, 2020).
Foreign direct investment is increasing with the rise in innovations and integrating
many other companies. capital formation which favours a positive GDP that can be
achieved by the rising FDI. Economy growth can be attained with the use of new
technology as well.
The information technology facilitate and effortless to exchange of the information
across the world wide s well as expansion of resources from one countries to other
countries. This expansion can lead to the new ideas and thoughts as well as new way
or methods of doing business.
Task 4: Definition, example, advantages and
disadvantages of digital infrastructure
The digital infrastructure is described as digital technologies that provide foundations
for an organizational information technology and operations. It is the pillar of any
organization's operation and information technology. For instance, broadband, internet
backbone, data center and the network etc are the examples of the digital infrastructure. The
digital infrastructure has some advantages and disadvantage which are mentioned below:
Advantages

Its most important benefits is, if one time any data has been lost they it is very easy to
re store theses data in cloud.
It increased the business profit by decrease their cost and also reduce their expenses.
It also help to analyze the customer's behavior in order to enhance productivity and
growth.
Digital infrastructure allows its users so that they can promptly and easily share the
data which are acquirable in cloud by using cloud via shared storage in order to
improve collaborationist.
Allow the users to smoothly and quickly approach all the stores data anywhere
anytime in the whole world by using internet connections and have excellent
accessibility (Gupta and Goyal, 2020).
Another big advantage of the digital infrastructure is that as low reparation cost,
cloud services has bring down both hardware and the software maintenance fee for
organization.
Disadvantages
To access the stored data in cloud, it is very essential that the users must have a good
internet connectivity. Sometime it become very difficulty as the network is not
available at every place.
The modern digital infrastructure also impact the surrounding environment. It create
many problems in the surrounding such as it create air pollution due to the technology
during manufacturing and goods or services. It impact badly the health of individual.
The cloud infrastructure is wholly retained ad there is limited control as it is manged
and controlled by only ones who provide the services. It resulting as the user enjoy
less control over the execution of available services.
Another disadvantage is that the organization face problems in the transportation of
their service from one place to another due to the vendor lock. Technically, it causes
several issues in the transferring in files and another data from one service
provider to other at the different platform.
Task 5: Risks associated with information systems
outsourcing and why is IT infrastructure so critical to
digital transformation!
Risks associated with information systems outsourcing
it is a misconception that an outsourcing information system provide competitive
advantage to all sort of the organization. But it does not provide any such type of benefit. It is
very unsafe for any business that they keep their important informational system far away the
organization. There are some major peril that are related to with he information system
outsourcing such as loss of control, hidden cost, in experience staff, services provider and
many more. These risk are mentioned below:
due t the dependency on on the services provider there is loss of control and lead high price
for its users.
Hidden cost- In the risk of hidden cost, users are not aware that how much amount
they can saved for their future and not to the anticipated technical dicountities (Hall,
2018).

Inexperienced workers- The inexperienced employment risk is one of the major risk
in order to mange the said process of the outsourcing. It is very essential aspects for
they employees that they should have the knowledge of the outsourcing services.
Business uncertainty- If an organization decide to outsource their IT services
because of cost and the focus, then it is assuming that their all future needs and
directions should be very clear. For the uncertainty they should have several business
strategies which help them to overcome from these challenges.

Why is IT infrastructure so critical to digital transformation!
The information technology considered as very critical for a good digital
transformation process. Therefore it is consider as an important pillar of the entire
organization. Hence, it is very crucial for the business to understand that how much the data
center and networking are important. It help the company to amend their agility and taking
risk. In the organization, execution of the digital transformation is not so easy as it required a
large amount of the investment and technology. If a company want to grow their business for
this they need to make their information system more secure. Hence, the information
technology infrastructure is so critical to the digital transformation process as it is foundation
of the organizational entire system. The implementation of a digital transformation is very
difficult. The business need to invest in the technology at edge cutting if they want to a future
proof their company. It is about the connecting business with their critical application and
data more swiftly whilst providing a better plate from for growth, innovations and
development (Matin, 2020).
Conclusion
From this preceding report it is find out that Information technology provide
numerous competitive benefit to the business organizations. There are different system such
as MIS, ESS, DSS, KSM, TPS and many more which are used by the organization to
improve their efficiency and help in decisions making process. The information technology
effect the globalization in a positive ways as now it become very easy to interact with each
other which save the money and time of company effectively. It also enhance the productivity
