2INFORMATION SYSTEMS MANAGEMENT AND STRATEGYIntroductionThe Strategic Information System of an organization is a framework that helps inmaintaining the technologies used in business for strategic planning of the objectives fordevelopment of the organization in the market. This report deals with the analysis anddevelopment of the strategic information system of the HP Company in the market. There arevarious challenges discussed in the report related to Strategic Information System. The gapsanalysis is done in the report by completing a plan for the strategic information system. 4.1 Analysis of Strategic Information SystemThe SIS includes various steps that has been discussed previously. The determination ofthe key planning issues is an important step for the system. This stage incorporatesdistinguishing the vital key issues inside the business and industry (Arvidsson, Holmström &Lyytinen, 2014). Outside and inward review help to comprehend the commercial center andfocused condition alongside authoritative abilities. This distinguishes the shortcomings of theorganization and the zones in which it needs to redesign it. This further aides in outlining of theplanning issues. The use of the planning process involves the strategic management of thesystems in the organization. The objectives of the company have to be managed properly in order to fulfill the goalsand objectives of the company in the market (Laudon & Laudon, 2016). The strategicinformation system looks for the issues in maintaining the collaborative relation with thecustomers of the company. The selection and planning of the teams in the company is animportant element in the strategic information system. A good team helps in fulfilling the goalsand objectives of company. This helps in maintaining a good team leader in the company. The

The commitment of the top management in the organization helpsin exercising the planning process in the organization (Osman, El Beltagi & Hardaker, 2015).This creates a bonding process among the team members in the company. Therefore, this a goodstep for involving the top management in the strategic information system. 4.2 Challenges of Strategic Information SystemThere are several; factors that are affecting the strategic information system. Thesefactors are discussed below:Humanistic FactorsThese factors include the employees is top management of the companies causing barrierin the planning process. The lack in the information in the top managers of the company causesbarriers for the planning process of the company in the market (Amrollahi, Ghapanchi &Najaftorkaman, 2014). The lack in participation of the managers in designing process causesnegative impact on the strategic planning. Organizational factorsThe lack of consistency and complexity of the managers causes erratic situation for thecompany to manage the strategic planning process in the work environment. The lack in thehuman resources in the company in IT fields have caused lack in processing of the systems.Insufficient training of the employees in the company have caused ill effects in managing thenew information system in the company (Haux et al., 2013).Environmental factors
