Context:-
In this case, the study is related to the Global Logistics and Maritime transport
ecosystem. Global logistics is one organization that delivers materials and heavy construction
equipment in one area to another. However, they are facing some difficulties for the shipment for
an overseas country such as Europe, China, or North America. Mr. Murray Johnson, who is the
newly appointed employee of this organization, has conversed oral communication with the
COO of this business Mr. Carlos Fernandez. The business authority wants to track entire
business evidence from pick up to distribution. This case study is discussing the conversation
between Honorable COO, Mr. Johnson, and Mr. Reggie Finch, who is the organization’s
shipping agent.
Issues:-
According to the conversation, the shipping agent is thrown some difficulties with the
shipment tracking process. This organization generally start about some times (6 months) in
advance to regulate the nature and measurements of the cargo. At this time, they cannot navigate
the destination and transportations option. While the GL tracking department can frequently
choose between truck and rail for land transport. However, the main problem occurred in
international transport or transportation through air cargo or boat. For this scenario, this
organization cannot maintain a proper tracking and also negotiating an agreement with the boat
owner or charterer that will shield all characteristics of the journey from the destination's place
and time. This organization was also facing a cost agreement issues. GL shipment department
negotiates with the receiver, shipper, and the transporters to fixed the shipment terms and get a
settlement on the charges involved.

Implication:-
This two-person also proposes some suggestions which can be helpful for this
organization's shipping (Fried, 2014). Mr. Finch proposes that if these organizations are applying
the same methodology when they use in Land transportation, then it can be beneficial for them.
If every delivery materials are consists of a barcode identification number, then the officials can
easily navigate the distribution information at any time. Suppose the delivery is happening
through the ship, then the GL authority can track ship by the barcode.
Mr. Haraldson, who is the captain of the ship, proposed some innovative ways. The
captain refers navigational plans, both paper and online, and climatological data -weather, water
flows, icebergs-from a diversity of resources: online from GL subscription facilities, from
provincial radio broadcasts that provide him seaside warnings, and from VTS in hectic areas.
Then he plots his way and updates it as the journey progresses. The captain provides suggestions
that can solve all problems of sea shipment. Mr. Haraldson also proposes AIS methods that can
cover the ship's identification number, terminus, and probable arrival time, as well as other
evidence about it. The user can apply this to observe every other ship in their immediate locality.

delivery.
Transport External The transport department also
plays a crucial role. They
mainly carry the whole
materials and distribute them
to the receivers. The transport
department mainly uses trains,
air cargo, and ships to
distribute the materials.
Receivers External/Internal The receiver is external and
internal both because the
transport department sent this
material and the organization's
receiving department or the
third party is receiving this.
After that, they are distributing
all materials to the proper
client.
Client External Customer satisfaction is the
most significant responsibility
for this organization. The
customer is also one crucial
shareholder because after
receiving the proper materials,
they are responsible for
acknowledging this to the GL.
In this case, the study is related to different shareholders. If every shareholder can play an
important role, then it should be helpful for the business. The primary shareholder of this
business is all departments of GL. The shipment and Technical department can play a crucial
role in this situation. The shipment department can deliver the materials to its customers, and the
technical department can navigate the tracking identification details.
Apart from the internal shareholder, GL can also depend upon some external shareholders.
Initially, the transportation medium like a truck, Air cargo, or ship driver is one of the relevant

stakeholders. These transportation systems can link in between the sender and receivers. The
agencies who receive this material form the port also plays a significant role in distributing the
customer's materials. The final shareholders are the customers who receive the material finally.
When the final material is reaching to the customer, then the complete business process is
fulfilling.
Opportunity:-
This organization named Global logistics wants to deliver their clients with the end-to-
end facility but, with international shipping, it is currently terrible to navigate their shipments
and, they are getting growing unsatisfied. For this reason, they can use barcode facilities for
tracking. Once the shipment department tracks the current tracking update, then they quickly
provide the information to their customer (Christopher, 2016). If the customer is identifying their
shipment details, then they trust this organization. Murray believes that if the entire business
process is tracking accurately, then the customer should be satisfied, which are profitable for GL.
The non-business shareholder is the all linked transport. If the business is going correctly, then
GL can be dealing with this transport. In these cases, the GL authority can negotiate for the
delivery budget, which can be beneficial.
Potential Solution:-
Motivation:-
The proposed solution must be motivated because if these techniques are applying in this
business, then the business can increase their profit. Each shareholder and organization's primary
target is to provide their client with the best services. If the solutions are accepted, then these
customers can feel satisfied. Not only has customer satisfaction but also satisfied the non-

business shareholder for this solution (Suryanto, Haseeb & Hartani, 2018). Suppose in the time
of shipment a natural disaster is happening, but still, the technical department is tracking the
delivery facts then this could be the best thing for business, So the conclusion is that proper
customer satisfaction, as well as business profit, would motivate the shareholders to adopt this
proposes solutions.
Cost:-
The shipping agent of this organization, Mr. Reggie Finch, can cover all costs related to
the shipment.
Role:-
The role of this organization is to incorporate the entire procedure of shipping for their
customers. The GL authority wants to track each fact from pick-up to delivery (Mangan &
Lalwani, 2016). They want to crunch all transportation evidence for each shipment and then add
in commercial information to analyze their bill. This organization plays a significant role in
providing the materials among the customers. If this process is not done correctly, then this can
create the most prominent harassment for the client and GL also.
Conclusion:-
This case study is related to the shipment process of GL. GL are not navigate their
foreign shipment details, and that is the reason they try to launch new technology that can be
helpful for tracking. In this report redevelops the brief ide of case study as well as defines the
issues and implication which can be essential for business profit.
