Critical review
It has been said that media plays a crucial role in society. This is because it helps in
changing state of mind of people. It is correctly said that media can easily manipulate minds of
people by showing content. Media focuses on things which is usually related to emotions of
people. This has resulted in creating a negative impact on society. due to this young people are
easily been influenced by fake news (Silverstone, 2017). Thus, it is necessary to mitigate
negative security perception. In present time there are several issues which is been raised related
to media and security perception. An uncertainty is developed among people. So, by applying
techniques it is essential to reduce negative impact.
However, media is a way through which people interact with culture. It is rightly said that
technology in media is crossing boundaries of society and interrupting privacy of people. Now,
politicians are using information against opposition. With this it has become difficult for people
to differentiate between actual facts and fake news. This has led to dramatic change in
communication. The new forms of media have converted traditional way from one to many. It
has shaped pattern of audience worldwide. Furthermore, it has created threat on journalism as
well and their practices.
It can be analyzed it is important to identity the security perception related to media
technology. This is because it will help in mitigating negative impact of fake or illegal news on
society and people.
