Introduction
In the IT world, cybersecurity, machine learning, autonomous vehicles, and robots have greatly
impacted and change ways in which things work out in the digital world. These four areas have a
different state of the art in contribution towards the new technology. Additionally, various things
can be done to improve them, both now and in future (Salmeron 2019, p. 120)
What it does
In many developed countries amongst them, the European countries, cybersecurity has faced
several deficiencies forcing law enforcers to pass laws that can help in filling the gaps
experienced in the field of IT. Additionally, several data regulation and protection agencies have
been established with the task of implementing technical and organizational measures that can
help to enhance cybersecurity (Treichel & Fongaro 2019, p. 200). Almost all the legal sources
are demanding that cybersecurity should be brought up to the level of "state of the art," but they
have failed in stating out clearly what needs to be understood by this. Based on the findings
obtained on a daily basis regarding cybersecurity, there are several loopholes which need to be
addressed and fixed (Salmeron 2019, p. 120)
Machine learning has been of great importance in technological advancements in the fields of
mathematics, computer science, IT, and other fields that need coding. It has been the heart of
various technological innovations and discoveries by mathematicians and computer experts.
Without the innovation and discovery of machine learning by computer scientists, life was hard
since the entire process of finding resources and papers on subjects of interest was so hectic.
Therefore, the new technology on machine learning can be said to be of great positive impact on
people's lives and has greatly improved as well as easing online experience (Timko 2019, p. 108)

Autonomous vehicles technology has recently seen billions of recommendations from the
investment sector, spectacular readvancements, and tragic reminders on measures than can be
implemented to improve customer experience in this field. It has been classified to be improving
and undergoing advancements on day to day basis thus getting positive recommendations about
its technological advancements (Huang 2019, p. 3)
Lastly, robots have been developed in various fields. There are various forms of robots meant to
serve different purposes in the new technology. For example, there are robotic vehicles
developed in a manner through which they serve the purpose of human being in vehicle
operation, service robots, space robots, humanoid robots and robots for both biological and
medical use based on the criteria of their functioning and commercialization (Treichel &
Fongaro 2019, p. 200).
A number of things can be done to improve on the cybersecurity, machine learning, autonomous
vehicles, and robots in enhancing their positive impact on this new technology of innovations.
For example, in the case of cybersecurity, government agencies and statutory bodies need to pass
laws to curb cyber insecurity. For the case of machine learning, autonomous vehicles, and robots,
the government needs to invest more into these innovations and allocate more finances into
scientific innovators who can do more research and come up with measures and innovations to
improve on this new technology (Tsihrintzis, Sotiropoulos & Jain 2019, p. 2). Additionally, in
future dates, for example, three years to come, there is a likelihood of advancements in the
technology of these four areas of the IT world. There is a likelihood of innovation of new
measures that can be put in place to improve on the cybersecurity, innovations of the new
technology and coding in machine learning, innovation of new models of autonomous vehicles
as well as coming up with the current up to date robots that can be used in several fields as

compared to the current robots that have been developed only to serve in a specific field of life.
This is due to upcoming technological and other developments such as continuous research made
in the field of science to realize the up to date innovative and scientific discoveries that can help
in improving human life. Every day, researchers and scientists coming up with new
technological advancements and developments in regard to positively impacting the IT world
thus making possible to realize all the advancements aimed at in the near future (Huang 2019, p.
3)
The likely impact
There are both positive and negative potential impacts of developments in these areas. It is
always so difficult to generalize about the impacts of developments in the IT world on general
productivity or performance in different sectors of life. For example, in the service sector, effects
caused by developments in the IT world cannot be easily isolated from effects resulting from
other factors since the service sector is classified to be among the most different sectors in the
world full of technological advancements. Therefore, a better picture of the development of the
impact in the IT world can be obtained by focusing on the individual industries. Though there is
a great difference between operations of different firms and individual industries, there are
several factors common to all of them thus bringing out a clear image of either positive or
negative effects that technological developments have on different fields (Papadoulis, Quddus &
Imprialou 2019, p. 15).
Based on the effects these advancements have, then it means that human life can be greatly
affected, and since change is inevitable, then there is a lot of positive or negative changes in
human life that are possible to result from developments in the IT world. For example,
technological advancements in cybersecurity mean individuals dependent on online work will do

their tasks without fear of threats from hackers (Marks 2019, p. 20). This is believed to create
current jobs or technologies since technological advancements mean there will a great need for
individuals with knowledge and capacity to operate this new technological equipment (Salmeron
2019, p. 120).
The effects
In day to day life, these developments in the IT world will affect my life but in a positive
manner. It will open up more job opportunities for me since in the current world, many job
opportunities are advertised online, applied online and interviews conducted online. This means
that, there is a reduction in the volume of paper work and this developments in the field of IT
will be of great help in my life to enhance positive growth in digital work. It will also boost my
knowledge about online works and how to effectively run different tasks without necessarily
using papers as it was before. With proper measures put in place to ensure there is cybersecurity,
then it means sharing of data as well as conducting online tasks will be more comfortable (Marks
2019, p. 20). For the case of machine learning and autonomous vehicles, there is a lot of
predictions on the imminent changes they have on every person’s life, and therefore, without me
being an exclusion of this inevitable positive change, it means my life will be positively
impacted, changed and improved on daily basis. Advancements in robot's technology will ease
the duration of time I took in completing specific tasks that the invented robots will efficiently
carry out. This will make my life to be so different but somehow improved. The difference will
be in my way of life since I was already used to ways of life with the previous technological
advancements. First, these developments will be a nightmare to me, but with time, I will get used
to these developments. To my family members and friends, this will be of great importance since
it will also improve their way of life and ease the partaking of daily tasks. Basically,

technological advancements can be said to be amongst the greatest privileges in the lives of my
friends and all family members (Salmeron 2019, p. 120).
