2INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY FUNDAMENTALS
Task 1:
A multi-core processor is an incorporated IC or circuit that consist of minimum two
processors which have been connected for moderated power utilization, upgraded execution, and
increasingly operative concurrent organizing of multiple assignments. A dual core set-up is fairly
practically identical to having multiple, discrete processors integrated in an equally capable
Personal Computer. However, since those two processors are linked with each other to a
comparable attachment, the data transfer among those is faster. Rather, a dual core processor can
be approximately twice as fast and effective as a processor with single core. The execution
cycles are said to be around fifty percent. Therefore, a dual core processor can execute a
instruction in half of the time a single core will execute it.
The Intel Pentium 4 630 is a single core processors. This means that processor can
execute a single thread at a time. The CPU Cache size are better in single core processor so that
quickly execute a thread and free the space for other threads.
Task 2:
In terms of computer domain cycles are a very important aspect. Cycles can be referred to
collections of cycle of data marked as "completed" when most of the guidelines in the collection
have already been managed. Speed of the processor is the volume of cycles/second at which the
CPU or central processing unit of a computer device executes instructions and can execute data.
Megahertz unit is used for estimating the speed of processor and is limited to the capability of
executing the programs. Quicker processor speeds are alluring. Processor speed is affected by a
few variables. These incorporate circuit estimate, bite the dust measure, reserve estimate,
effectiveness of the guidance set and assembling factors. Littler chips for the most part result in

quicker processor speeds on the grounds that the information has less separation to travel,
however littler chips additionally result in more prominent warmth age, which should be
overseen.
By running the Microsoft word in the Intel Pentium 4 630 processor, the user may limit
the computer functions to MS word only. The version of the MS word also has an impact on this.
As the Office 365 suit is a very large and recent application, running this in 3 GHz may cause
frequent hanging and lead to bluescreen issue also.
Task 3:
The Intel Pentium 4 630 processor was introduced in 2005. The software that Jill is
planning to use are introduced in 2017. The 12 years of gap between the software and the
processor which is a huge. The software can run on the hardware that are maximum 3 to 5 years
old. Jill will not be able to install all the software as the installation program will generate error
of not meeting minimum system requirements.
Task 4:
System requirements can be considered as the list of software and hardware that a system
must be equipped with in order to support an application program or an equipment efficiently
and without any lag. I the system does not have the minimum requirements then various issues
like installation will not complete or extreme lag during execution or even data loss can happen.
For bundled items, system necessities are frequently imprinted on the bundling. For
downloadable items, the system prerequisites are frequently demonstrated on the download page.
System necessities can be comprehensively delegated useful prerequisites, information
necessities, quality necessities and imperatives. They are frequently given to buyers in total
