INTRODUCTION
Information technology is basically application of computer system and
telecommunication instruments that help for store transmit and retrieve the data in proper
manner. This report will discuss about the different types of computers with their specific
applications in the real world. Furthermore, This assignment will discuss about the importance of
internet for business and individual. At last task, it will describe the specific use of social media
that has been change business with the help of information communication technology by using
the example of social media platform. This will help fir interact with the consumers as well as
stakeholders.
TASK 1
Different type of computers with the application of real world.
A Computer is a type of machine that can be perform different task and manipulate the
symbol in the set of instructions. There are different types of computer classified on the basis of
their specific ways.
 Super computer- This computer is the most powerful hardware system in the terms of
performance and processing data in proper manner. This computer is basically used for
performing specialized task in the large organization. It is also useful in the purpose of
research and exploration such as NASA uses this computer for controlling and launching
the space shuttles. This computer system is basically used in the different purpose such as
space exploration, nuclear weapons testing, earthquake studies etc. for example- super
computer such as Sequoia, Titan and SuperMUC-NG etc.
 Main Frame computer- This computer is not so powerful like super computers but it is
quite expensive other than system. This computer can be used the government and large
organization to perform different operations and functions. This system is also protected
in the air conditioner room due to their large size. It is the fastest computer to store large
amount of data and process in effective manner.
 Mini Computers- This computer is basically used for the small business therefore, they
consist of small machines and accommodated on the disk for the processing and storage
of data. Each and every department can used the individual computers in the
organization. For example – production department in the firms can use the mini

computers for checking the specific process of production. Mini computers example-
IBM Midrange, Texas Instrument TI-990.
 Micro Computers- This computer is based on the desktops, personal digital assistant,
laptops. Smartphones and tablets etc. These are micro computer which is used for the
business process because it is the fastest processing that available in the cheapest price.
This computer is generally designed for the purpose of entertainment, work and
educations etc. for example- ABC-80 Luxor, Altair 8800 MITS etc.

Importance of internet for an individual and in business context.
Internet is the most important part of organization and individual because it provides the
facility to build their knowledge and understanding towards the entire world. Nowadays,
Business cannot be possible without internet because the most of the operations and functions are
performed with the help of internet and also useful for exchange or sharing information from one
place and another in proper manner.
 Communication- Interaction and communication are the important part of business to
share the details to the customer by using internet services such as Email and instant
messaging etc. Internet is useful to make easier of individual or business to deliver the
message for another people in the organization.
 Information- Internet is simplest way to collect and store all the records in effective
ways. In this way, An effective research can be done with the help of web in the online
database of business. An electronic device are record data that gathered to another source
of internet.
 Image- Business is needed to create right image in front of customer for the success. The
internet can help for enterprises for achieving their goals and objectives. An effective
website create perfect image therefore, many individuals and organization use the social
network to target the audience.
 Marketing- In the organization, Internet is provided the facilities for business and
individual to promote their products and services in marketplace. There are different
marketing tools useful for sharing their entire details of product in market. It is beneficial
for businessman to create enterprises infrastructure on the basis of information and data.

There are different types of tool and platform such as social media network, Facebook,
twitters and web chat etc.

examples.
Social media is also defined in the term of information and communication technology
because it can analyse the relation between the social changes. Many people can used the social
media for the purpose of sharing the information from one place to another that's why,
information and communication technology useful for diverse the set of technologies where the
user can easily access, store, communicate and manage all the information in the form of digital
format. For Example- In social media network, Facebook is provided the screen reader view to
identify the image in proper manner. There are social networking websites to provide the video
sharing and infrastructure of ICT.
 Social media is basically the medium for the purpose of create social interaction with the
peoples.
 ICT includes the different hardware, software and many applications in the smartphones
for connecting with another person in easily.
 Internet and computers are become improve the social communication in different level
and also research on the innovation in the areas of information and communication
technology.
 Social media is the medium that operate the various form such as content communities,
social blogs, social networking site, collaborative projects and micro blogging etc.
 This technology is richness for amount of information medium that transmit within the
specific time intervals.
 Social media is building an online community for people to share their interest towards
the particular product and services. This is based on the web services to provide the
variety of user that interact by using the email.
