Discuss the difference between virtualization and cloud computing
The difference between cloud computing and virtualization are as follows:
Cloud computing technology: Cloud computing technology is referred to as a practice
that is used by different business organizations these days to store large set of information with
reliability, scalability, flexibility and security. Remote network server host networks are used on
internet to implement the prcatices successfully in the business organizations. The challenges of
data processing, managing and storing also becomes easier with the implementation of cloud
computing technology. Cloud computing is a template based process and it is mainly used for
automated virtual resources mostly on damage usage (Marinescu 2017). The private clouds and
public cloud are respectively high CAPEX, low APEX, low CAPPEX, high OPEX. Three
different architecture of cloud computing are SaaS, PaaS and IaaS. Based on the business and
operation the most suitable cloud architecture should be selected by the company owners. Cloud
computing reduces the issues of excessive data loss, cyber security and operational risks
(Rittinghouse and Ransome 2016). It gives flexibility in capacity and improves the functional
capabilities. The system collaboration gets enhanced and also the service is available for 24X7
time period.
Virtualization: virtualization is a method of creating virtual server, storage device
network design and virtual operating system. Virtualization is mainly use of a software that
allows either piece of hardware or software to successfully run multiple numbers of operating
systems at the same time (Morabito 2015). There are six different areas where the process of
virtualization can be successfully implemented such as network virtualization, storage
virtualization, server, data, desktop and application virtualization. The process of virtualization
