Evaluate the characteristics of the patient population the NHS trust serves
The NHS is the services which were started by United Kingdom, this refers to National
Health Service this service started by UK government in this service they provide medical
and health care facilities to public of United Kingdom without asked to pay the full amount of
service. This is really good initiative which is taken by UK government in this service they
provide various services to general public like treatment at hospital if anyone is ill or unwell,
facility for pregnant lady, help at the time of emergency this may be involve transport facility
to hospital. Mainly the National Health Service serves to the patients related to cold & cough
is the most common illness and NHS receives mostly patients. Allergies are catch by the
patients with sensitive immune system this is common their symptoms are runny nose, eye
irritation itching etc. patients affected by Diarrhea through polluted food or water, Headache
is most common disease in UK and NHS receive mostly patient with Headache. NHS also
serve to pregnant women they provide all the facility which is are required by a pregnant
lady. These are some common patients to whom national health service serve free or without
charging much amount of service.

Neuralink’s BMI or such similar BMI technologies.
Elon Musk is the co-founder of a company tesla which engage in cars, tunnels and vacuum
tubes services along with this they also working on machine which name is brain machine
interface BMI also known as Neuralink. Musk worked on his goal with full dedication of
wedding natural and artificial intelligence in humans. Many other companies working with
Neuralink on brain machine interface this is an effective initiative which is taking by various
company this device is for individual who are disable or not able to do their work this device
help those disable people who are not able to control their body but with this device they are
able to control their body with their mind. Brain machine interface main motive is in future
combine technology with the human experience by taking some steps towards technology,

interface which is really helpful for patients in sequence to control their body through mind.
Brain machine interface target specific region of brain in patient body with the help of chip
this device contain chip for low-power on the board amplification which help in moving or
controlling human body. This device is really helpful for paraplegics this device makes tasks
such as using phones and clicking mouse on computer without making any physical
movement but human trial of this device is not started. Neuralink and other companies done
this project and now they are ready to try this device. But as per this device features
explained by Neuralink this shows that this is really helpful device for patients.
Rogers Model of characteristics of innovation
The Rogers model of innovation is the model which is mainly used by companies who adopt
innovation. This model is depending on the idea that some individuals or people are
unavoidable and more open to adaptation than other. This model also known as multi step
flow theory or diffusion innovation theory. National health service UK want to adopt changes
to increase their cost and they also want to adopt new technology brain machine interface to
analyse the complexity, compatibility and tribality they apply Rogers model. This model of
innovation includes some steps which are discussed below –
Relative advantage – Relative advantage is that users wants to know that how the new
innovation is different from other innovations. So, for this innovative companies need to
focus on their innovation and keep in mind that the new innovation is totally different from
previous. Because user want something new
Compatibility – Here compatibility means that how mentally human absorb or accept that
innovation in their lives and maintain relationship with that innovation. NHS first have to
find potential user of device BMI because it is necessary to know that the innovation or
service NHS offering to patient that they are agree or satisfy with that innovation. If that BMI
device cost is high then it may be possible that the innovation will not accept by many
patients. Success of innovation is only when people accept or adopt that innovation.
Complexity – when the project is complex then it slows down the process of innovation,
complex innovation is hard to accept by users no one have that much time to spend on a
innovation if it is complex to understand than it takes time and then user don’t focus on the
innovation. So before launching that device brain machine interface for patients NHS have to
examine the complexity of that device because complexity is not handling by patients. The

design of brain machine interface should be simple so patients can use it easily. NHS have to
build a team which address the usability of BMI device before launch for patients.
Trialability – Trialability is describe by user that how much user explore the innovation.
Trialability is only judge on the basis of test run. NHS also have to conduct trial test of that
device to know more about that BMI device and trial is on some selective individuals.
Observability – This is the advantages and outcome of using any innovation in reality,
observability it on the basis of trial without having any users. This is done on the basis of trial
a potential adopter uses that innovation and figure out advantages and disadvantages of an
innovation.
Q2. Discuss and evaluate entrepreneurship in relation to offering BMI to your NHS
Trust?
Entrepreneurship in relation to offering BMI to your NHS Trust
Entrepreneurship can be defined as an ability of an individual where it can write a
business by using innovative ideas and methods. It involves virus as well as great profit. Talk
about the BMI technology launched by NEURALINK. When it is also and successful
entrepreneurship opportunity for a company as it include and innovative product which can
guide and help the disabled people in using this software’s without the use of mediators, Can
use their mind for developing. NHS trust can also get benefit of this where we can increase
the confidence of patience as well as develop their personal skills for working. For this
entrepreneurship opportunity ham model can be formed which is given by BESSANT and
TIDD in 2015.according to this model entrepreneurship can be divided in 5 stages which are
entrepreneurship goal and context, recognising the opportunity ,finding the resources,
developing the venture and creating the value.
Innovation and Entrepreneurship BESSANT and TIDD model
Recognising the opportunity: in the stage individual will identify the opportunity
which is present in the business environment where it can take it for formulating a business
idea which will help in achieving the personal goals as well as determining the business
goals. The individual must also identified context of the business that what are the targets of
business.
Recognising the opportunity: it is best approach where the individual have to
identify the opportunity which are presented in the market.it can use different perspective and

past experience for identifying the better opportunities which it is used from available
resources.
Finding resources: it is the most important part of this model where an individual
have to collect and identify all the potential resources which it can use for the given
opportunity. Contents of NHS trust, clearly examine all the resources available within the
enterprises which we can use to get the offer of BMI and support there organisation.
Developed the venture: it is the first step in the process where formation of
development of ventures which is related to the innovative product and full of entrepreneur’s
opportunity. Directly depend on the capacity and skills of entrepreneur then what type of
organisation or venture they want for working.
Creating the value: this is the last step in the process, where organisation has to
create different values and rules which are directly related to the product innovation, This is
done for bringing the technological innovation within that and which will directly on patience
of organisation.
Model can be used by NHS trust for building a good entrepreneurship opportunities
and identify different opportunities where it can get the technology of BMI and increase the
motivation of the patients as well as effective use of brain surgery where it can use this
functioning for understanding the patient needs.
Q3. Discuss on how one current United Kingdom piece of legislation or government
policy related to personalisation may impact your NHS Trust’s decision whether or not
to deploy BMI technologies, such as Neural ink?
One current United Kingdom piece of legislation or government policy related to
personalisation may impact your NHS Trust’s decision whether or not to deploy BMI
technologies, such as Neural ink
Elon musk is using that upgraded technology which has various impacts on human
life as well as their personalization. This is because this technology is based on software
where it is difficult to measure the correctness of the software. This can also be hacked by
some unethical practices within the society so using BMI technology personalization of an
individual. There are some policies of UK government which have specific content for
personalization as it become a major aspect of governmental agent are for public sector
reforms. “The process by which services are tailored to need and preference of citizen, The

overall vision is that the state should empower citizen to shave their own life and the services
they receive" this is the quota of government commission where the thing that personalization
is driving the shape of all public services with growing public expectation that's services will
meet their needs helping them to achieve personal goals and aspirations. Personalization is no
longer only the domain of the social work and social care. The governments NHS quality
strategy has person centred care as a main theme and there is a clear desired ensure that
personalization of healthcare involve from this.
The deployment of BMI technology is important for NHS trust decisions. This is because it
provides various benefits to disabled people who have improper body structure because of
genital problems or accidental problems. This technology can help them to operate the
devices different functions by the use of their mind. This technology simply based on mind of
an individual where it eliminate the mediators like hand and other body parts which are used
by this technology operator for operating some system or software. This will helpful the
patients as they can now work individually without the help of any other person. This also
makes that useful for different software development and soft works where there is no need
of physical work. It is a most revolutionary invention by The Ellen musk which must be
added to buy at NHS. This will also build trust of patients towards the NHS as they will
attract for improving their self.
Also allow the brain of patient to develop in a different way where it can also adapt number
of changes in its life. Technological development is must for NHS this is because there
continuously lacking behind for treating the people, just not only important that increase the
budget will enough for good treatment. It is also important there must be regular
technological development in context of patients for increasing their trust within the using the
technology like neutral ink is beneficial for government college NSS for breaking trust of the
patient to word the organisation.
