Abdullah Duman14101Research proposalTitle:Adoption of wireless sensor network technology in organisations, United KingdomIntroductionWireless sensor networks can be understood as the actuator networks which are being used in agroup of specialized transducers which are having a communication infrastructure for thepurpose of monitoring and recording the conditions of the different locations and pass the datacollected to a main location with the help of a network. The parameters which WSN technologymonitors include the temperature, direction of the wind, humidity, pressure, speed, voltage in thepower line, level of pollutants, intensity of sound, vital body functions, illumination intensity andintensity of vibration. The use of WSN technology is increasing in this fast changing world witha purpose to establish a bridge between the real and the virtual worlds. It has provided greatsupport to the operation management of an organisation. WSN technology has been of great useof the construction industries of United Kingdom.ProblemsThere are various problems which a construction industry faces and for the issues or theproblems faced by these manufacturing industries include management of the process, lack oftechniques for detecting the level of pollutants in the environment, checking the water quality,checking the air pollution, chances of natural disasters, lack of technology for ensuring healthcare and lack of techniques for monitoring the machines of the industry. Every organisationneeds technology which helps in monitoring the environment, in which it is operating andanalysing the environment and various aspects of the environment so as to execute the activitiesof the construction industry in a better manner (Kamenar, et. al., 2016). These problems affectthe performance of the construction company at large as the companies need to gather datawhich is related to the location or the environment of the place so as to carry out the constructionactivity in that locality. The construction industries are facing several problems includinganalysis of the environmental conditions of the place, monitoring the machines of theconstruction industry and to collect data which helps in the execution of the activities of theconstruction industry (Cheng, et. al., 2016).3
