INNOVATION AND RISK MANAGEMENT: 2
Introduction
Innovation and entrepreneurship have been recognised as key building blocks of
today’s competitive economy. Innovation has emerged as a new way to solve problems
related to product. The service and entertainment industry collaborated to meet the changing
demand of clients. Innovation has given another beneficial advantage of longevity to business
operations. The importance of innovation has been increasing due to competition. The key
drive that stimulate innovation is the background of an individual. Career planning is one of
the important factor, which influences the background. After post-graduation or MBA,
everyone looks for the business or job. However, I was finding a way to follow my passion of
direction, storytelling, and dance.
Goals
Career planning is the answer to a question “what to do after MBA?” After MBA,
most people search for a job and settle themselves but I want to follow my passion, which is
filled with connoisseur of artistic flavours. From direction to storytelling, I always created my
own stories and kept acting into their characters. Here, I want to share a story. A dreamy girl
who loves her hair even more than her face. Due to hair obsession, she continues to lengthen
them. However, the love for the hair was so intense that she was having a comb, which was
even bigger than her height1. I also wanted to make animation movies in which cartoons and
such unique characters such as girl with huge comb even bigger than her height. Apart from
storytelling, I was very much interested in dance.
.I started becoming passionate about these artistic flavours. I decided that I would
ardently follow my passion. By the time, I realised that my family will not support in my
passion due to traditional barriers.

Although, they loved me a lot, but this passion was something my parents would not
like and allow me to follow. Therefore, I had to change my path as it becomes very hard to
continue my direction, acting, and storytelling as my passion. So I started studying MBA in
the field of HR because I wanted to shape and guide people`s career as per their desire2. I
planned to continue my passion on my level and after completing MBA; I want a job so that I
can get working experience in an organisation.
At the end, the goal and vision is to become a successful person and achieve the goals
with earning self-esteem and recognition in the society. I want to leave a permanent
impression on people`s lives. Soon, I will be completing my MBA and get a degree from the
university3. I will start searching for a renowned company, so that I can get experience from a
renowned company. Being as a HR I will be able to manage people around me, I will also get
an opportunity to motivate, and inspire people, which ultimately will never blow the candle
of inspiration for continuing my passion.
Innovation in filmmaking
The film industry got access to innovation and technology in form of graphics, 3D prints, and
360-degree view. I have seen that film industry has evolved as mechanical as well as digital. I
am planning to adopt to project better quality films with the immense use of synchronous
sound, lightweight and portable equipment, camera rings, HD video cameras, coloured
screen, and computer-generated imaginaries. Apart from the story plot, I have been thinking

The purpose should be clear and strong, so at least I will be able to revive my dreams. Even I
love to be a part of HR as my career because it gives me the opportunity to become creative,
and develop talent on the way. Well, I have understood and accepted that film director career
is not getting support on my parent’s part. Therefore, I started to focus MBA-HR as my

Now, I had to fulfil my desires and innovate them. I had to breakthrough my tradition, my
background, and my family to follow my passion. It was a time when I had to innovate by not
following the path of tradition. My husband supported me and I started writing a book about

By the time, I had several classes to learn acting. Method acting which is also known
as Stanislavski. The art of performing the act is based on the art of experience. The purpose
of this method is to ignite actor`s conscious thinking to connect and affect less affected
conscious mind and work on that expression to perform better. Another acting type that I
learned was Chekhov technique, which defines that actors should not imitate life rather they
should uncover or explore the hidden aspect of life and leave on the audience7.
After joining classes and practising acts, I directed and produced by own short films.
As far as the innovation is concerned, I am thinking to practise every type of theatre. Theatre
is the reflection of perception of the society. There are various different patterns such as
comedy, musical theatre, theatre of absurd, historical, tragedy etc8.
Working in every pattern will assist to build every character and work on
improvisation thoroughly. Story telling is my strength. To innovate in film industry, I have to
understand the preferences of viewers. People are not at all enthusiastic about their life; they
spend their life with negativity. Therefore, I came across the vision of what type of short

Risks associated with this film creation and mitigation of associated risk
Competition is the major risk associated with any industry. To attain competitive
advantage, company should evolve new strategies to make popular and sound short films. To
mitigate the risk, I can make unique videos, which are not very popular in my country.
Another problem with this industry is it requires many expensive tools such as good quality
camera, good auditorium, and good scenery to work on the scenes. Whereas, starting film
making career would be more efficient if a person works as a theatre artist and actor. I gained
experiences of monitoring, acting, and operating the lighting system. Different lighting
systems named as par, strip, scoop, Fresnel lantern, and beam projector have different range
of their working10.
Plan-A is to continue and make progress in my passion, which is in film making,
direction, and acting. If I could not earn a lot in my passion, as a plan-b, I will be continue a
job as a HR. However, I will not leave my passion. I will continue to write stories, quotes,
and continue acting and direction as my hobby after my job11. One another benefit that can be

Conclusion
From the above report, it has been assessed that every person has his/her passion.
Everyone like to work as per his or her wishes. However, it is not at all necessary that the
trump of success or victory be always on the right-hand side. Sometimes, either a person has
to compromise their passion due to tradition, culture or sometimes parents may not support.
To adopt another career and continuing the passion with it is anyways possible. Not anyone
relies on one career option, everyone thinks of alternatives available. Grabbing the
opportunities for the passion in the external environment will give us inner satisfaction that at
least we are continuing our hobbies.
