QUESTION 1: MAJOR TAKEAWAY
Answer: In the following article, the readers are being introduced to 5E inquiry
model, which tells the reader how to teach. In the article, there are five phases. Those five
phases mainly includes “Engagement, Exploration, Explanation, Elaboration, and
Evaluation”.
Each of the following phases has different functions that contribute to the learning
process. The Engagement phase mainly involves creating interest in the learning topic by the
teacher. The Exploration phase mainly involves understanding the topic by the student itself
on their own. “This phase gives an opportunity for students to test predictions and hypotheses
and/or form new ones, try alternatives and discuss them with peers, record observations and
ideas, and suspends judgment and is aided by the teacher”. The Explanation stage encourages
the students to come up with concept and explanation of their own. In the Elaboration stage,
the student should incorporate the various concept and the new skills in the new but similar
kind of situations. In addition, the students should incorporate “formal labels and
definitions”. The last Evaluation phase mainly involves assessment and feedback by the
teacher to that student.

ANSWER: The main “aha” moment in the following article mainly includes that fact
that as per the 5E inquiry model that teacher first gives the opportunities to the student to
