The assignment requires designing a lesson plan based on the five phases of the model: Confrontation with the Problem, Data Gathering and Verification, Data Gathering for Experimentation, Organizing and Formulating an Explanation, and Analysis of the Inquiry Process. The solution emphasizes the importance of each phase in facilitating student learning, problem-solving, and critical thinking. The provided content includes an overview of the Inquiry Training Model, its phases, and the importance of data gathering and analysis for effective teaching. Furthermore, the assignment underscores the need for teachers to address student challenges and encourage active participation in the learning process. INQUIRY TEACHING MODEL
The Inquiry Training Model is basically an effective model of Information-Processing
that was introduced by Suchman in year 1962. A tutor can be applied to this model in its daily
operations for enabling all learners to learn many new things (Yazidah, Irawan and Sulandra,
2017). This model is generally based on FIVE phases which the tutor has to follow for properly
teaching all learners.
Confrontation with the Problem: This is the first and most important phase under the model,
and this is why a tutor have to be ready for identifying key issues and problems of learners which
has faced in their daily live. In this dynamic world, each learner has to learn with freely mind,
and the problems negatively affects to a learner in the process of learning, so tutor should try to
resolve problems of learners.
Data Gathering and Verification: Data gathering is important task to a tutor for verifying all
learners are doing well in the workplace of not, because it is important to teach them properly.
Data Gathering for Experimentation: There is data gathering is necessary for experimenting
new method of teaching, so this phase also needs to be considered.
Organising, Formulating an Explanation: The tutor should motivate its learner for organising
necessary resources of learning, and then it will require to a proper plan for explanation any
specific topic to all the learners (Putrayasa, 2018).
Analysis of the Inquiry Process: Tutor should analyse the inquiry process as well for resolving
different doubts of learners in workplace. Basically, inquiry process helps learners for solving
their tough questions by interacting with tutor.
