3 Executive Summary
The paper reflects on the project “international expansion of food and drink delivery
business in a restaurant of UK. The restaurant utilizes telephonic method for taking
orders and they also does not have proper e-commerce website which limits the business
of the restaurant. In order to enhance revenue, the higher authority of the organization
wants to expand their food and drink delivery business in the international market with the
development of e-commerce website. It is identified that with the development of e-
commerce website, the foods as well as drinks of the restaurant are promoted and the
restaurant can also facilitate the online ordering system. In addition to this it is analyzed
that the development of e-commerce website also helps in providing number of other
benefits that includes improving customer convenience, menu management, productivity
as well as online promotion. The project will not only improve as well as expand the food
and drink delivery business but also assists in gaining high ROI.
4 Reasons
The project “international expansion of food and drink delivery business” is
undertaken in order to improve the delivery business of a restaurant in UK. The
restaurant does not have an e-commerce website and thus it takes delivery through
mobile phones and as a result the business of the restaurant is generally limited only to a
small region of area in UK. The higher authorities of the restaurant wants to expand their
business as well as food and drink delivery business in order to enhance the yearly
revenue that will be mainly collected through different Omni sales channel. It is identified
that the development of e-commerce website for online ordering of food can be helpful for
the business of the restaurant in order to grab the international market. In addition to this,
the organization will achieve other benefits that include improving customer convenience,
menu management, productivity as well as online promotion.
5 Business Options
The business option that is available for the business is to do the minimal
approach. According to the approach the project must do the minimal that is generally
required in order to achieve the respective project objectives as well as goals. The project
manager helps in developing the e-commerce website as well as an online ordering
system in order to expand the business of food and drink delivery in the international
market properly. The other needs of the project like proper maintenance, proper
scheduling, proper management as well as budgeting is done in order to achieve
success.

The expected benefits from the project against the situation that exists prior to the
project are as follows:

The expected dis-benefits of the project are as follows:
Huge investment: The investment that is required in this project is quite high and

Security issues: The project manager found that development of ecommerce
website can face number of problems including security issues. The misuse of sensitive
as well as confidential information can be hacked and thus proper protection is required.
