There are several fundamental objectives of the Brisbane Airport Parallel
Runway’s master plan. It includes establishment of the strategic direction
of the airport, showing the development for the extra use of the airport
site, setting out the future forecasts of the airport and passenger
increment, plans for specific operations, roads and aviation
infrastructure investment. It even includes the commitment engagement
of community demonstration, update strategy of the Airport
Environment and the Ground Transport Plan.
The new runway of Brisbane is going to be the largest project of aviation
construction in the country Australia. The project is witnesses to have
been started in the year 2012 with a number of major construction levels
and is clearly and well planned for its opening by the year 2020. After the
completion of the project, Brisbane is going to have the system which
will be best for the runway in the world. The new framework or the
structure of the project is responsible for delivering numerous benefits
to Brisbane, Australia and Queensland and will help in continuing with its
benefits soon after the year 2020. Recently, the stakeholder’s
consultation is considered to be underway with the development and
the establishment of different reference groups with numerous
representatives of both the industry and the community. The public
consultation is going to be commenced within the mid of the year 2019.
The final submission draft of the mentioned master plan is to be done
soon to the federal government of Australia by the year 2020. During the
starting or the beginning phase of the construction during the 1980s, a
space was reserved for the development of a parallel runway in the
Coughlan, P., 2016.

future by the Australian government whenever needed. This Brisbane
Airport Corporation project has several partners dealing with it including
the contractors of CPB, groups of BMD and the constructors of
McConnell Dowell (Aust.) Pty Ltd to provide the new runway. The project
also comprises of about 675 workers during the peak period along with
90% of them belonging to the south east part of Queensland. The project
is considered to be a well-planned one and is performed in two main
phases. The first phase being the construction phase involves the works
of improvement on the ground, whereas the second phase is the main
construction of the system of runway and the airfield infrastructure. The
master plan of the project is designed properly for stating the objectives
clearly with the help of proper planning thinking about the future of the
Brisbane airport. The master plan of the project is also designed by
defining proper forecasting factor like growth of the passengers, aircraft
movements and the on-transport traffic. The Australian government
approved this master plan in the year 2015. The upcoming new runway
which is going to be developed by the year 2020 is going to create more
than seven thousand new jobs and also contribute an extra $5 billion in
the benefit of the economy of the region yearly. This particular project
also leads to a larger choice in the airlines, flight times and destinations.
The runway is also going to be such a beautiful infrastructure allowing
the increasing growth of Brisbane and the region of it. It will enable the
Brisbane airport for meeting the demands of the community which
serves for now and generations in future.
According to the case study, there are several standards of Australia with
the tendering code. The standards are scope, definition and ethics. The
scope standard mainly sets out all kinds of ethics and obligations of both
tenderers and principal during tendering in the construction industry.
