This presentation explores the different theories, principles and models of communication that can be applied to teaching, learning and assessment to achieve inspirational teaching and learning. It covers transactional analysis and Shannon and Weaver models of communication. Effective communication is essential for students to understand concepts and theories, and teachers must have the ability to communicate properly with their students.

Introduction
 Communication plays major role in the process of teaching.
There is need of effective communication as it helps the
students to understand the concept and theory.
 There is need of knowing about the right way of
communicating with the students in order to enhance their
learning experience. There is need of studying the models of
communication.

2.1 Analyse theories, principles and models
of communication
 Transactional analysis: This model believes that there is
need of effective communication to deliver the message
effectively. There is need of healthy communication to
manage the overall work of the students.
 There is need of building relation with the students in order to
teach them properly. There are different types of transaction
seen among the teacher and learner.

 Shannon and Weaver of communication
 This is the model of communication in which sender selects the desired message
and encode the same. There is use of signals is done to interpret the message effectively.
 The message is encoded in such a manner that it is understandable to the decoder of
message. The receiver is the real destination of the message and decodes the information
effectively. The use of proper channels of communication makes the overall process of
communication easier.

2.2 Models of communication can be applied to
teaching, learning and assessment
 It is analysed that communication plays a key role in the teaching the students.
All the students are different from another must to teach them together and
effectively there is need of proper communication by a teacher.
 In the present scenario, the teacher must have ability to communicate properly
with the students. The teacher must be clear about the message that they want to
communicate.
