Information communication technology is used for developing strong structure of
communication for an organization which is used by employees to makes its operations
conducted on large scale. ICT has contributed towards making business deal with challenges of
COVID 19 by using collaborative tools like Zoom meet and Microsoft team that helps in making
operations conducted with effectiveness. Cloud storage and computing has helped organization
in storing data with secure means. Privacy and security is an important part of Information
communication technology which makes personal information of employees protected. Crypto
currency crash means those aspects within which monetary loss is faced by an individual in
terms of investment done by them.

1.0 INTRODUCTION
Information and communication technology is known as umbrella term which comprises
communication devices and so on for handling processes of exchanging information, network based
control as well as monitoring function. It has developed significance over increasing use of digital
technology in business making goals and objectives achieved that has been set by an organization. ICT
has helped over enhancing modern workplace more effectively. Also, customer services, quick delivery
and analysis is developed over customer trends with market requirements. Every business seeking
towards making expansion done on large scale by attracting audience, this is possible only by using
information and communication skills. Thus, ICT holds importance for an organization by making it
connected with business cycles followed all over the world. Information and communication
technology contributes toward taking advantage of technology and makes them serve towards customer
satisfaction. During the time of pandemic, digitalization has become important part for business in
order to run its operations and profit. Through online platforms various opportunities has been
generated over generating profit and revenue by selling of products and services. In the era of
digitalization, ICT has helps upon making contribution done by developing of software, make websites
enable AI technology and many more techniques for enhancing business. The purpose of report is to
gain insights over concept of collaboration tools, cloud computing, cloud storage with privacy and
security.

Collaboration tools are those terms which has been used for various kinds of software and
online services that allows employees work together upon common project without being present
physically over particular location (Graham, 2022). These tool are used for enhancing information
communication technology within an organization. There are various kinds of collaboration tools which
are used within an organization like apps, software programs and online platforms that helps business
and people streamline creative process which makes working possible in effective manner. These tools
lead upon developing focus upon various aspect which improves online communication. As, in modern

world the organizations are shifting towards digital way of communicating within its business process
and COVID 19 pandemic has made organizations shift towards digital mode of conducting meetings
(Huda, 2018). These collaborative tools like Zoom, Microsoft Meeting and Skype has been used by
Tesco and BMW that has helped in solving issue of conducting business operations during the time of
COVID 19. For example, Tesco by using Zoom meeting is able to distribute task to its employees.
BMW has used Microsoft meeting for discussing about various aspects in relation to organizations
tasks.
Advantages of collaborative tools are Productivity: This is one of the best advantage possess by collaborative tool which has helped in
developing efficiency within working patterns of employees. Through collaborative tool
employees are able to focus upon working over online platforms with innovative ideas.
 Cost efficiency: It is another pros of collaborative tool which is based upon saving money. This
is possible since online set ups are cost friendly and does not include large investment.
Disadvantages of collaborative tools are Lack of Face-To-Face Interaction: This has become one of the biggest disadvantage since it
makes relationship of employees and employer weak. Also at times employees lose their
confidence to face customers.
 Quality of work: In online meetings things are discussed in detail but still perfection within
employee’s work is not guaranteed. This makes quality of work impacted on large scale.
2.2 Cloud Storage
Cloud storage means that kind of software which is used for providing space and capacity in
order to store large data within one space. Business organizations uses various kinds of information and
data in relation to sales, client information and record which is kept safe within cloud computing which
is based over stores, updates and resettle the data per the need (Hutchison, Paatsch and Cloonan., 2020).
Digitalisation has become one of important part of business marketplace that has made business
developed on large scale. In the time of pandemic, continuous development is done by using cloud
storage data related over selling, promoting, purchasing and collaborating done by using online
platforms. Thus, cloud storage is used at workplaces to make work done effectively through enhancing
digital platforms. For example, BMW has used cloud storage in order to store data which has helps in
developing strategies more effectively for future growth of organization. Thus, cloud storage is suitable
for organization like BMW as it has helps in making important information regarding projects of BMW

stored in secured manner. There are certain advantages and disadvantages which has been discussed as
follows:
Advantages of cloud storage Backup and restore data: This is the main advantage which leads upon storing of data that leads
towards securing data for future use. It has helped in making data to be analysed effectively in
the time of COVID 19 which lead over guiding employees to conduct operations of business.
 Improve collaboration: It is another important part which makes connection possible with large
number of employees. Also this makes business identified problems and issues which is faced
during the time of COVID 19.
Disadvantages of cloud storage
 Downtime: This is biggest disadvantage which is posse by cloud storage at time internet does
not work or their server is down which makes poor quality of connectivity occur. It makes data
not to be stored effectively making information flaws created which influences working quality
(Picciano, 2021).
 Security issues: By using cloud storage system, security issues are much common in order to
secure the data and information. There are many issues involved in the security protocols like
keeping data out of the reach of hackers, kept in passwords and keep use of digital technology
much well.
Suitability
Cloud storage is suitable for an organization like Tesco in a way that it is able to keep record of
products it has sold. Also, cloud storage has helped Tesco to keep eye over its customer’s percentage.
Application
Cloud storage is applied for backup of data, sharing of data as well as resource service. For
example, Tesco has applied cloud storage for keeping account of data which is used during pandemic
time to delivery product to its customers.
2.3 Cloud Computing
Cloud computing means that software which is used for delivering of services related to servers,
storage, databases, networking, software, analytics, and intelligence. All online work is interconnected
through software. For example, Tesco for storing data within cloud has used machine language and
with the help of AI technology which makes organization provide auto generated mails, information’s
to its customers. This makes information within cloud keep safe and secured form any kind of third

party interface. In this end to end encryption is provided over services that does not allow any other
sources to access over its data. This makes cloud computing and applications of cloud storage
reputation effective. There are both advantages and disadvantages of cloud computing which has been
discussed as follows:
Advantages of cloud computing
 Suitability: This is biggest disadvantage of cloud computing which is used within any field like
business and educational institution (Mariani and Wamba,, 2020). Under business wider
perspective is covered which is based upon several functions. The cloud computing holds
suitability which vary from one area to another since it provides space and privacy. This is
suited for all kinds of computer devices like cell phone, tablets and other super computers. This
makes organization needs to be analyse with device capability by installing cloud application.
Disadvantages of cloud computing
 Data security: The data within cloud computing and storage is biggest advantage of using cloud
computing. This leads upon making business develop trust and confidentiality over user
information like Email Id, passwords and account information. Thus data could be used by its
owner consent which is given to third party.
Suitability
Cloud computing has suitability for an organisation like BMW in a way that it makes flow of
information done in effective manner. This leads towards making task and project completed within
due time under tough situations.
Application
Cloud computing is applied for conducting business practices as usual and minimising downtime.
It is applicable within an organization like BMW for making its data circulated through secured portals.
2.4 Privacy and Security
Privacy and security is an important perspective which is based over private information and
security of an individual within an organization. In order to make sure that privacy and security if
maintained within an organization software like firewall, anti-virus and antispyware which makes vital
information protected of employees working in an organization. For example, an organization BMW
requires to maintain privacy since it protects employees from any kind of fraud and misconduct (Mishra
and et. al. 2019). Tesco should develop high quality software which makes security developed
regarding sensitive information of its employees and customers. Importance of privacy and security is

that its helps organization like BMW to attain trust of employees by providing them security while
working within an organization. There are certain challenges which has been faced by Tesco in terms of
privacy and security that is security threats and privacy policy formation. BMW faced challenges of
creating software which removes spams and malware from there servers.
3.0 Analysis and Discussion
3.1 Collaboration tools
In digital market, collaboration tools have become an important perspective that has lead
towards making growth and development enabled for a business within market. In the time of
pandemic, it has lead towards developing of importance over business and various advantages which is
related to attained over competitive edge. Also, this makes joining hands with different marketers and
business to take advantage of much investment, profits and customer base. ICT has helped upon
gaining innovative solution that holds importance within COVID 19 pandemic. Business suffering from
unsatisfactory customer experiences and services, less time is required to be focused upon needs and
market trends. The collaboration brings new era of working by making connection possible by digital
means and other influencers. Hyperlink information system is one of the most important tool that makes
understanding developed about customer needs, provide fast deliveries and remote working during the
COVID 19 period. This has become important for running of business operations and serving of
customers on large scale. In the time of lockdown employees are not able to leave their home and join
office over workplace and meetings. Since lockdown, employees are not able to leave their home and
join office for workplace and meetings. The system of hyperlink within information system was
developed by using collaborative tools. This leads towards shifting of employees from offices to Work
from Home. In order to make WFH more successful two important tools are used which are Zoom and
Microsoft team that has been discussed as follows:
 Zoom meetings: This is an online platform for meeting which is used by an organization for
conducting online meets during the time of COVID 19 pandemic. Zoom has lead over
conducting meeting on large scale (Reisdorf and Rikard, 2018). This s effective over joining and
communicating of people across the wider perspective. Business become relent over working
effectively by not lowering of productivity within employees. Thus they are required over
making right trainings and collaboration done while remote working of staff. This is benefited
over making Work Form home more successful during COVID 19 period. This made

organizations comply with rules, regulations and protocols followed in the time of pandemic
making delivery of product and services possible with safely to customers for avoiding personal
contact and maintaining social Organizations like BMW and Tesco has used these tools for
conducting their online business operation at distance on same time. The collaboration tools
make contribution done by developing business potential within such complex situation. This
makes advantages provided over joining meeting and communicating easily with its team
members for solving queries, doubts and assigning task with responsibilities.
 Microsoft Team: This is another important collaborative tool which has been used for
conduction official meets regarding the development of organization within the time of COVID
19. Microsoft tools holds effectiveness which allows maximum 100 individual's participating at
times. This provide over services which makes notifying people, setting deadlines and alarms
for joining meetings on time. It is basically used as virtual meeting room that is based over
internet connection that has been enabling over calling and chatting features in video or audio
format. In the pandemic time all business workplace was running through collaboration tools
that has helped upon keeping employees aware by keeping information developed over
organizations functions. In the safe way for carrying out activities and task without any
disturbance within operation process. It is a safe way to carry out activities and tasks without
sacrificing company’s revenue and customer demands. These tools are impactful in border to
ensure that the organisation can meet with the dynamic changes of market. Employees can work
closely with their peers, managers and leaders through sitting at home.
Organizations like BMW and Tesco has used these tools for conducting their online business
operations. These tools just require a laptop and good internet connectivity and all the work can be
discussed through meetings mainly managers conduct 2-3, meetings in a day to ensure that employee
are working fine and they are not facing any difficulty. This shows that how an organisation will lead to
response to dynamic digital changes and adopt new ways of working (Sousa and Wilks, 2018).
Therefore, the employees could likely meet with the ICT skills and learn how to use collaborative
platforms. There are many businesses who sells their products and services through online platforms.
So, it is not possible to come and join in person for guidance and assuring task. It has been all done
through using these collaborative tool that enable face to face meetings. These company’s helps in
finding right way to motivate employees. As during the time of lockdown, many organisation thinks
about their employees and rather than terminating them, they decided to provide work from home to not

get impacted with Covid complexities and inflation Therefore, the organisations are supporting
employees by motivating them during the Covid-19. It helps them to keep in touch with the company
and work hard for gaining success in that crucial period. All the business types like accounting,
financing, IT and retain sector, all the working with these collaborative tools that has made success to
be achieved within market for BMW and Tesco.
3.2 Privacy and Security during pandemic
As per the COVID 19 digitalization become trend which made misuse of personal information
used for personal benefits. This relates with cybercrime creating negative impact on an organization's
image and value within market. There are various privacy concerns and challenges which is faced by an
organization during the time of COVID 19. In the time of COVID 19, fraud and hacking practices
increased creating huge loss for business as well as to an organization (Urbach and Röglinger, 2019).
This comes under cybercrime and has made organization face challenges leading upon impacting
information in relation to customers like contact number, account details and address. In recent years of
2020 cybercrime has raised to maximum level that impacted private details of customers. This
information is based over theft of any documents, attachments, and software used by the business
organization. The business has rapidly provided Work from Home which made cyber security concerns
increased due to high use of internet and software integration. There are certain challenges which has
been discussed as follows:
 Cost of maintaining data privacy: Data privacy can be maintained by using great quality and
standards software that has effective features and password protection security software. Thus it
contains huge cost for creating such software with proper quality and effectiveness. It makes
organization expand its reach within market and building trust within customers. The issue has
made most impact created over customers which makes risk not to be taken over information
security.
 Human errors creates complexities: Humans are those which create mistakes and measures
for improving it. This is not possible to make acknowledgement over digital technology in more
effective manner. It leads upon making human error become challenge for business impacting
data and developed influence made over fraud and scam message. If an employee uses weak
password, deleted data makes influence by fraud or scam message making organization face
trouble in terms of its information regarding organizational process.

era, all the work done by machine but the information is used by the employees of company to

before taking any product and services of an organisation (Ugur. and Koç, 2019). For example, an
organization like Hyperlink info system is required to taken effective measures regarding security of its
software. This makes identification possible over data and security risk through forming of strategies.
The organizations require over managing inventory by keeping check over inventory system. This
based upon installing antivirus, review of programmes and services.
3.3 Cryptocurrency Crash
Cryptocurrency means those digital currencies which is used as an alternative form over
payment which is based upon using encryption of algorithms. The use of encryption technology means
over cryptocurrencies functions (Ugur. and Koç, 2019). These currency has its own virtual accounting
system and wallet is required to be installed for using it. The cryptocurrency crash has lead over
developing risk in relation to monetary terms. Such perspective has made an individual suffer from
developing loss on large scale. Individual buy such currencies to earn profit from it and the suddenly its
price reduces which makes monetary loss happened within an individual. The biggest example of this is
Bitcoin crash and one-coin crash within which heavy investment were done in the time of COVID 19
but due to lack of value its lost monetary hold within market.

The report has concluded that, digitalisation and ICT are growing rapidly during the time of Covid-
19. It has assured that, ICT includes knowledge of using digital software, AI, cloud computing and
other uses of online platforms. Therefore, it is required to analyse the benefits and limitation of each
software. Privacy and security concerns are the major aspects which has analysed during this report. All
the security measures like keeping storing passwords, use good quality software’s and provides training
to the employees is necessary for avoid risk of losing important data and information.
