INTRODUCTION
Information and communication technology is defined as the technology which is used in
handling the telecommunication, media, communication system and monitoring function. ICT is
an infrastructure and components which enables the modern computing. With the help of modern
communication technology people are able to communicate with other people throughout the
world (Andrade and Doolin,2016). The following report is based on information and
communication and will study about two different conferencing providers with their features and
applications. Further this report will cover the skills which are required for conducting the online
research and about the challenges that can be faced.
Different web conferencing providers to compare and contrast their features and their application
and suitability for business
Web conferencing can be defined as an online service which enables and individual to hold
meeting, presentation, conferences with the help of internet. It allows point to point conversation
and also enables multi task communication. There are so many web conference provider which
supply services that enables the organisation to perform both effectively and efficiently. The
need of web conferencing has developed a lot due to the growth of multinational companies in
the world as they are able to save both time as well as money which earlier was devoted at the
time of conducting a meeting. Two web conferencing provider is mentioned below:
 Microsoft Skype: It refers to a programme that help in business communication, online
meeting, file transfer through out the world. It is one of the web conferencing provider
that allows the meeting of 250 people at a single time (Bell, Bryman and Harley, 2018).
This software is most suitable for the company with large number of employees and
make their work easier. It works together with the Microsoft office tool in the business
organisation to get better experience of the meeting.
 EzTalks: It is considered as one of the best web conferencing provider as it is having a
good number of video collaborative tools. It can easily handle the meeting of 100 peoples
at a single time. It is available for both windows as well as android and does not limit on
the location of the employees s they are able to attend meeting form any place.
Both these web-conferencing providers having different features and are used by business
organisation for the different purposes. Some of the features are mentioned below:

 It is a web conferencing provider that
allows a meeting of 250 people at a
single time.
 It is the oldest form of cloud based
video conferencing services.
 The tool is very cheap to use and also
provides good quality of video and
audio calls (Chandler and Shapiro,
2016).
 This tool is used for conducting online
meeting of three or more users together.
 It support both web page as well as
mobile application so the users can get
benefit from Skype.
 It accepts each and every type of call
whether they are of Skype or not. For
example it accepts video calls, text
messages etc.
 It assist the customers in performing
the business operations at large, small
or lower level.

 It is the new form of cloud based

 As compared to Skype, this tool is quite

Application and suitability of Microsoft Skype
Skype is communication services which able to connect people anytime and throughout
the world. Skype used by several businesses in which multi-tenant servers are being hosted over
single network which connect multiple customer simultaneously. Moreover this tool is suitable
for the business organisation of all size and used in performing the business operation at large as
well as lower level (Dwyer, 2016). It is the most safe tool as it is secure by Microsoft office 365.
As this tool is very cheap to use which results in its easy application all over the world.

Application and suitability of EzTalks
EzTalks are designed in order to provide the best audio and video calls throughout the
world. It is most suitable for the meeting as they share content over innovative whiteboard which
results in easy discussion. When the conversation is only limited to two or three person , this tool
is most beneficial. This tool provides the benefit of private conversations to the users but not
other kind of privacy. This tool enables the user to make private conversation only through the
medium of texts (Lee, Son and Kim, 2016).
Skills required to conduct online research and challenges faced
Online research refers to the ways which helps the researcher in collecting the data with
the use of internet. This field is new and as the technology is increasing at a fast pace this has
increased the dependence of people on the internet. Moreover this method is used for collecting
the information in no time and also it is cost effective. There are some of the skills required by
the researcher in order to a proper online research and along with it they face certain challenges.
Some of the skills and challenges faced are mentioned below:
 Checking of sources: This is considered as one of the important skills which is required
in the manager in order to conduct online research effectively. Here the researcher has to
evaluate to information from different sources and must check their validity, need and
accuracy.
 Challenge:Some of the researcher or individual believed that whatever research gathered
from the online sources is true and reliable and due to this fact sometimes the information
goes wrong which result in failure of the project.
 Asking good Question: In a research, question need to be ask and in that case
investigator or researcher should be very clear with the topic and must research properly
in order to get the better outcomes.
 Challenge: The main challenge which is faced by the researcher in this skill is about the
question which need to be asked as it is not always possible for the researcher to develop
good questions that could provide the needful answers as to complete the research.
 Go beyond the surface: In such type of skills researcher is required to continue their
investigation unless and until they gain a broad orientation( Silverstone, 2017).

 Challenge:The main challenge faced here is that normally investigator stops when
searching at the first result as they thought that the appropriate result have achieved in the
first stage itself.
 Be Patient: This skill is very important and can be used by the investigator for
performing the research task efficiently in every situation. By keeping oneself calm the
researcher is able to get the information in in spite of several challenges (Luo and Bu,
2016)
 Challenges: The major challenge faced by the researcher in this skill is related is to the
emotions and control on the mind. As the individual sometimes are not able to keep
himself calm when something wrong happens at the time of conducting of the research.
So at such type of situation, researcher loses the patience which results in the failure of
the research.
 Using the appropriate network: The skill here required by the investigator is choosing
of the appropriate social media or information channel. As many online platforms are
available for gathering and sharing of the informations. So in that case one must chose
appropriate platform where they can share or gather the information.
 Challenge: Every individuals wants to gain quick result and also in a short span of time
for that the researcher normally use the same information which is available on the
website which results in plagiarism and such results are considered as unethical.

From the above mentioned report it can be concluded that web conferencing is
considered as one of the most effectual tool which assist an organisation to interact with large
number of people in an organisation at the time of meeting or conference. Moreover such tool
also saves the time as well as cost. Although some of the skills are required by an individual in
order to properly conduct the online research as this are very important in order to gather
information which is beneficial for the growth of an individual as well as organisation.
