INTRODUCTION
Digitalisation is process which is undertaken by individuals and organisations to
effectively convert crucial information into a digital form, which would help in better processing
through use of computers, laptops, mobiles, etc. In this digital age, organisations are effectively
stressing upon using digitalisation as an effective tool and strategy to appropriately exchange
information within and outside the company (Arnold and Boggs, 2019). Moreover, to further
enhance the same, organisations are effectively focussing upon cloud computing. The following
report is based on Skype and Zoho Meeting, which are effective web conferencing providers. It
covers an effective comparison in their features as well as a detailed discussion on their
applications as well as suitability for businesses in general. In addition to this, the report includes
a brief discussion of skills required to conduct research online and challenges which is faced
during the same.

Comparison of Two Web Conferencing Providers
Web conferencing refers to a service through which people within an organisation could
effectively indulge into conferencing, i.e., could conduct live meetings, training as well as real
time presentations through usage of internet, specifically on TCP/IP connections. It is an
advanced and widely used service which is used by each organisation regardless of the industry
in which they operate. There are several web conferencing providers which could effectively be
utilised by the organisations in order to conduct their conferences and ensure a real time and
appropriate experience of web conferencing. For the same, two providers are taken into account.
Skype For Business:
Microsoft launch Skype for Business at November 2014. It is an effective instant

This web conferencing provider is a software which is an affordable tool to be used in
collaboration of businesses within large scale organisation. Easy to use, this software has both
online meetings and web seminar provisions for its users. Zoho Meeting work on windows,
Linux, OS, Mac. It can be also used by IE, Safari, Firefox, Google Chrome and many more.
There are various features of Zoho Meeting for example VOIP support, sharing through desktop,
embed Meeting, switch presenter, audio conferencing, detailed report, desktop plunging and so
on (Griffin and Care, 2014). Through this an individual or organization conduct online meeting
in effective manner. It can be quickly access by desktop as well as there is no need to launch
browser.

Specific skills and ability are required when a person need to conduct any particular
work. Through that skills an individual able to conduct their work or task in effective manner as
well as they also able to identify as well as collect data in effective manner. There are several
skills which are required during conducting research of data as well as information online. Along
with this there are some challenges which an individual face during this. Some major skills as
well as challenges which are face during online research are mentioned below:-
Skill and challenges during research online:- Evaluate details properly: According to this skill a person able to evaluate each and
every detail in effective manner which help in gaining information or statistics in
effective manner (Baym, 2015). Moreover if a person evaluate details in appropriate way
they able to identify whether particular data is effective for their project or not. That will
help in making project in proper way.
Challenges- Challenge which is associated in this, if a person not evaluate data in detail manner
they not able to identify effectiveness of information which directly impact on their project or
research outcome. So it is necessary that an individual must evaluate information in detailed
form so that they can conduct accomplish work in effective way. Identify proper source: It refers to the skills which are very essential within an
individual because through it they able to identify proper sources through which they can
collect data or information related to topic. Through this they able to identify information
as well as data that is accurate, valid, appropriate and so on and which must help
researcher to accomplish their work project in effective way.
Challenges- Challenges which are incurred in this is that an individual is not must patient and
they collect or use those data which they find at its first search. Due to this sometime they may
trust on unauthenticated data and information. Search relevant topic: It refers to skills of searching appropriate information through
relevant topic. By this skills an individual able to identify effective as well as related data
as well as information of specific project (Arnold and Boggs, 2019). So it is necessary for
a person to understand their topic on which they have to conduct research and then search
information about, so that they can identify information in effective as well as appropriate
manner.

Challenges- Challenge which is associated in this is if a person not understand topic and search
information then there is huge chance that they can identify unnecessary information which are
not relevant to topic. Due to this it is necessary for researcher to understand topic before
searching data.

By analysing above mentioned point it can be conclude that digitalisation help a company
in various way so that they conduct their work in effective manner with quality outcome. Every
business unit are also adopting digitalisation in order to produce offerings in effective way and
conduct work in appropriate manner. Information and communication technology reduce cost of
overseas and domestic interaction. There are various web conferencing services which is adopted
by a firm in order to communicate with their clients and staffs properly such as ZOHO meeting,
Skype for Business and so on. Along with this, there are various skills and ability is required
within a person for conducting online research such as attention skills, analytical skill and many
more. Through these skill an individual able to identify appropriate information on internet but
during this they may also face some challenges which are associated with searching.
