INTRODUCTION
Internet refers to the international network which means to the world wide system that
connects the computers of across globe. It is a communication equipments of networks which is
related to the public, private, government, businesses etc. which are linked by a wide
arrangement of wireless, optical networking techniques as well as electronics. This contains a
broad range of knowledge and informations that are freely transferred from one place to another.
Internet has no common or centralised governances in either implementation of technologies or
practices to access and usage, all constituents have its own sets of network policies. In present
era it becomes necessary to incorporated professional skills along with the updated technologies
which results in automation in services. Under this report discussed about the positive and
negative aspects of internet as well as threats of using internet. Also, describe the security and
privacy measures and clearly compare and contrast of two communication providers along with
its features and application.
1) Positive and negative use of internet.
Concept of internet.
A global network of interconnected computer communication equipments which ensures
the application of internet protocol to linking the several systems over the world wide. It was
developed in 1960 by federal government of US then quickly enlarged in Europe and Australia
till mid 1980s and become necessary part of economy. It facilitates several facilities such as chat
with co-workers, electronic mail as well as give access on wide range of informations and data
(PArrIS and ESTrADA, 2019).
Use of internet to society:
Internet becomes necessary for the society and it removes all obstacles of national
boundaries and comes together over the globe. At a same time it impacts negatively on the
societies because it is misused by some of businesses and individuals (How internet impact
society positively and negatively, 2019). The positive and negative impacts of using internet on
the society which are as follows:
Positive use of internet: Online shopping: Internet facilitates their customers 24/7 facility of shopping and
banking either e banking or M banking which saves time, cost and efforts of users and

provides a various options to choose one. Also, it provides a list of all transitions for
future assistance about their past orders or transactions. It can be access from anywhere
but must have strong connection of their networks which easily accessible. Better education system: Web browsing as a software gives various opportunities to
learn the things related to all over the globe. It helps an individual in accessing all
informations or they can retrieve required contents from the server by using their
communication devices effectively (Preeshl, 2019). It also facilitates online lectures,
videos that made learning and education system quite easy and interesting. Internet
learning are stored in memory of an individual for long time because of its way of
presenting and examples which are clearly mentioned in their content.
 Effective communication: Interactions among individuals are increases because using
communication networks or social media networking results in togetherness means it
brings whole society together. This will helps in direct communication between two
persons which are decentralised or informal form of connections. It facilitates several
connection over the world wide to perform the activities.
Negative use of internet: Social media addiction: Most of the population or students has become addicted to social
media and they spent their most of the time on internet suffering. By spending more times
on social sites such as Facebook, twitter, Instagram etc. leads in deficiency in person's
potentiality and productivity (Mosweu and Ngoepe, 2019). Inappropriate information and data: Internet impacts negatively on the society because
robber and terrorist are mostly used internet for influencing the large number of
population. This will increases the crime rate and scams as well as inappropriate material
and videos that are harmless for teenagers and children's.
 Creation of robotic society: Internet has led to robotic social groups where hybrid ability
and skills are active such as Facebook, twitter comments but no one worried about the
actual problems which is related to the environmental changes. Sensitivity, care,
emotional attachments has reduced personal and social interest has finished that gives a
birth to robotic generation kind of society.
