INTRODUCTION
Social media is used as a communication tool, it helps people to connect with each other.
Some of the people use social media to make their carrier and find opportunities from this
platform. Instagram, Facebook, twitter are example of social media site.
This report will provide positive and negative aspect of spacial media on internet. It will
also discuss challenges and measures of security and privacy which are taken when social
services are used online. this report will compare two social media platform such as what's app
and LinkedIn. Comparison of both applications will conclude features, application, their stability
to the business. In the end of this report will justify that social media sides can be used for
communication or not.

Positive and negative aspect of social media on internet
Social media sites are useful platform which is used for the communication, and people
can connect with the whole world (Barbeau., 2019). It has positive use but many people use
those sides in negative way. Social media can help people to communicate with those people
who are leaving in other country. They can communicate with them and share their photo to each
other. Even it is used by the businessman, so they can keep in touch with their dealers who are
from another country. They can see each other though the video call features which is available
on the social media sites. But nowadays people are using this site in wrong way. Hear are
positive and negative aspect of social media -
Positive aspect
Carrier opportunities
People who are searching for job can use social media as a medium. There are some
social media platforms such as LinkedIn (Blank and Lutz., 2017). It is used to find job for the
people who are searching for job according to their skills and qualification. They can make their
profile on this platform and this application will suggest jobs according to the interest and
qualification. This application also suggest their profile to the companies and if they are impress
with their profile then they can call to those people for the interview.
Study purpose
Social media it also useful for the students because they can fund every kind of
information on the social media platform. Students can learn new skills and implement those

skills in their personal life. There are many motivational videos which motivate them to give
their best and never give up.
Voice for the weaker people\
Social media is a tool which is helps to rise voice of the weaker people (Braun, T. and
et.al., 2018). People who are demanding for the justice, and they are not getting justice from the
government. They can make their video on the social media and share their problem with the
world. It can be noticed by the big organization, and they help those people to get justice. There
are many cases in which people rise their voice on the social media, and they get justice by this
platform.
Awareness about issues in society
Social media is also provided information about the issues in society (Bridgstock., 2019).
People used to share post related to the politics, news and local incidents. People can be aware
about new and hot issues in the society and share their thoughts on it.

Social media is helpful tool for the communication but one of their negative effect on the
social media is addiction (Celik And et.al., 2019). Some of the social media such as Facebook
and Instagram are very addictive, students are spending their most of the time on social media
platforms. It is abdication on them, and they do not give importance to the other things such as
studies, physical exercise etc. it is important for the parents to talk about this to their child.
Effect on sleep
Social media also affect on the sleep because people are spending their time on social
media, and they used to communicate with their friends till late night which affect on their sleep.
They spent late and wake up very late, they cannot concentrate on the other work because they
are not taking enough sleep daily (Hendriks and et.al., 2018).
Cyberbullying
A cyberbully is the use of social media to communicate false, embarrassing, or hostile
information to specific users. Among the major effects of social media, cyberbullying is an evil
that has become such an atypical toady. Victims of prolonged cyber-bullying often end up with
psychosocial problems like depression, isolation, loneliness, stress, anxiety, low self-esteem, and
some even become suicidal.
