INTRODUCTION
It is a practice or policy of control by individual people or power over other gathering or
areas. Colonization refer large scale of gathering movements from one place to another where
migrants maintain their strong links with their forebear former nation (MacDonald, 2019).
Portugal is a country which is situated in southern Europe on Iberian peninsula. It is part
of the countries bordering it or their inhabitants and western most country in Europe that is
bordered through the Atlantic ocean to the west and south and through Spain from north and
east. This country was essential in world exploration for two aspects, a prince from Portugal
Henry the navigator was very interested in exploration. Invention in navigation conduct to bigger
knowledge of earth science. This country has links with England since 1100s by a accord.
The Portuguese colonial empire was imperturbable of the overseas colonies and
territories that were governed by Portugal. The empire was started in 15th century and conduct
the early 16th century it expanded over the globe, with bases in north and south America, Africa
and several regions of Asia Oceania. Portugal accomplished independence in 1668 after revolt
and war extended through the stubborn assurance of Philip IV to maintain its patrimony. This
report concede the legacy of colonization and efforts made to eliminate the colonial influence.
The legacy of colonization.
It has been expansion of capitalism according to system and the higher accumulation of
capitalists with their nation states is known as legacy of colonization. Towards historical factors
