Introduction
This assignment which is a case study of an internet based application for a local farm
shop. The proposed online application for the farm shop mainly deals with the interactions
between the owner and the customers. And this assignment describes the needs and requirements
of users as well as owners from this application (Endsley, 2016). The owner can sell his produce
by enabling home delivery to customers. And the customer can buy any product from the farm
shop without personally visiting the shop. This application is designed to fulfil these
requirements. Additionally this application provides restaurant booking in the nearby area. By
using this application table can be booked in restaurants. Another additional feature of the
application is if the customer wants to host function or parties they can book the full restaurant
for one day. These are the main features of the application.
Discussion
Targeted users: Since this application is for a local farm shop, the targeted users are
mainly the local residents of the city. As the shop is a small business, it cannot deliver goods
outside the city of the country (Fu et al., 2018). So, for this reason targeted users for this
application are the local users.
The influencing design principles for application design: In the application design
there are clear communication between the user/customer, shop owner, the bank for online
payment, and the restaurant owners (Thies, 2015). All objects are shown properly on screen.
Which shows that the application is designed with care and expertise. Transition between pages
are seamless. And the navigation is also very user friendly.
