Introduction
Emotions are defined as the feelings which are complex in nature these are the state of human
nature that results in psychological and physical change that can influence the behavior of an
individual. It is related to arousal feeling of the nervous system which states various weaknesses
and strengths of the cognition process. While many extrovert people can express their emotions
and are considered as social animals, introvert people can keep confidential their emotions and
feelings. Thus emotion is considered as a sole driver of motivation, either negative or positive.
Many researchers have put across the theories which are related to the feeling, behavior, changes
in psychology, and syndromes of components, etc. which are all related to the emotions. Many
other theories are claiming that one should keep a line of difference in between precede
cognition and emotion. In some theories, Cognition is given much priority over emotional
balances while in others Emotional motivation is given much importance over cognitive
behavior. In further sections, we will be discussing the different sources from where we have
collected the information about Emotion.

Handbook of the sociology of the Emotions by Stets, Jan, Turner, Jonathan H.
This source was best suited to the Emotions topic and was explored via the internet. This book
was written in 2006 by famous writers Stets, Jan, Turner, Jonathan H. who was the President of
the Pacific Sociological Association and Association of California Sociology. He has done his
Ph.D. from the university of Cornell in the year 1968, and for more than one year he was at
UCR. He is a renowned theorist of Sociology, and also he is excellent in some abilities like
emotional sociology, relations of ethnicity, social stratification and institutions and biological
sociology. For this book Handbook of the Sociology of Emotions, Turner was given the
outstanding award of Recent Contributions 2008 by Association of American Sociology with the
co-writers Jan E. Stets. He is the author of thirty seven books and two hundred articles (Stets, J.,
et al., 2007). This book serves the Adult, and professional class who faces the emotional
dilemma daily in their office and work place as mostly the examples used in this handbook is
from office culture only. The book starts with addressing the different emotional ranges and
classifications and proceeds towards describing the power of the state of expectation, exchange,

ritual, the evolution of various emotions like empathy, anger, love, envy, etc. Lastly, the books
end on the study of different emotions and their impact on social movements, health, and
workplace. This book has also talked about various stages of the evolvement of emotions over
decades. Emotions can be used to predict the consumer behavior as many advertisements are
being produced which depicts the emotional message such as advertisements related to
Insurance. If the number of response over those advertisements are getting high, it shows that
behavior of consumers is getting influenced by that factor of internal influence. It has become
very obvious now that organization, interaction and human behavior gets influenced by
emotions. This source overarches the different approaches towards emotions, be its uses,
advantages, Negative points or theories related to it (Pekrun, et al., 2002).

This research paper also matched our chosen subject and was explored via the internet. It was
written by Dr. Raymond P.Perry in the year 2002 at the University of Manitoba, Canada. Dr.
Raymond P.Perry has done his Ph.D., in Social Psychology from the University of Calgary in
1971. He is a renowned professor of Psychology in Manitoba's University since 1981 until
present. He has visited many universities for Scholar Affiliations like the University of Stanford
in 1990, the University of Regensburg in 1997, Victorian University in 2000, and the University
of British Columbia in 2006. He has also visited Humboldt as visiting scientist in Munich's
University in 2014. This paper serves the academic students as the Title indicates the effect of
emotions on students in universities. In this paper, the researchers have given the theory of
student's rich emotional experiences in the academic environmental setting. Academic
achievements and learning are the most vital subjects in our life because of increasing
professional and educational careers and having strong relations in society. This concludes that
achievements and learning are very important aspects nowadays and form major emotional
sources. This paper has emphasized on the concept that cognitive performances and processes of

written by L Melita Prati in the year 2004 as a study guide to put light on the subject of
emotional quotient which enables the process of labor emotionally. The researcher in this paper
is an Associate Professor of Department of Management in Business College at East Carolina
University in Greenville. L Melita Prati is a renowned expert in the field of emotions,
intrapersonal communications, and behavioral science. She has done extensive research in the
field of affective neuroscience, communication with emotional affect, management and
emotional recognition (Prati, L. M. 2016). This paper gives an idea of the research which is
done in the area of organizational science. Many different areas of concern in the organization
get influenced in this attribute of empowerment. Labor of emotions is an area that has grown into
the concerns of participants of the organization who are involved in using the emotions only for
organizations. Furthermore, whatever the individuals are serving is the sole concern of
organization only. This paper puts a light over the reviewing and analyzing of the emotional
labor and intelligence and also discovers the ways in which emotional intelligence is moderating
the relationship into the process of emotional labor. The analysis has been conducted by using
various questionnaires and hierarchical multiple regression which resulted in moderate influence

health in the year 2014. Research has been done extensively to establish the role that was pivotal
to shape the processes of intergroup. Many people experience the emotions based on group and
place their experience on a stronger base of emotions at group levels. Some people feel that
whatever the group is experiencing at collective levels, the same can be proposed at a certain
level of reaction from an individual. There are two classifications of emotions based on group-
guilt and anger. If a group is experiencing anger, then it is most likely to establish the fact that
the individual will also feel according to the same. Similarly, if a group is experiencing guilt,
then it is most likely to establish this fact that the individual will also feel the same according to
the group. The author of this article is a Ph.D. student in Department of Psychology at the
University of Stanford. He has done extensive research in the field of Psychology, and he
focusses on the Primary area of Affective Science. His research work overarches the regulation
and unfolding of emotions at the group level and effecting these emotions on processes of
groups. He makes use of big data analysis, empirical experiments and computational modeling.
He is renowned in the areas of social psychology, motivational Psychology, Conflict Resolution,
Moral psychology, emotional communication and applied psychology. This article has mainly
put the focus on the group of people in society and also the group levels in various organizations.
With the group of people having their concerns over purchasing a product, it is an essential
aspect to have the opinions in groups so that it can become easy to identify a level of satisfaction
and taste and preferences of consumers while making a purchase. Therefore knowing the
preference of group is very important before coming to a conclusion of developing a product
(Goldenberg, et al., 2014).

Conclusion
Thus through various sources, it can be idealized that emotions are the internal feelings of human
behavior that gets affected by the activity of intense mentality and also the highest degree of
immense pleasure that can sometimes motivate and sometimes demotivates to conduct an
activity. Emotions are tangled with temperament, mood, personality, motivation and disposition.
With the help of the above text we are able to analyze that research on this internal influence has
been increasing significantly with the contribution of many other fields like neuroscience,
history, medicine, computer science and sociology and various functions associated with
emotions are fostering the development of sources which stimulate and provoke emotions in
human behavior. Emotions are nothing else but a result from factors which are combination of
external and internal events. Thus emotions are the heterogeneous feelings which are intense in
its approach and simultaneously these are mild states which do not direct anything either its
anxiety or depression. The duration of a particular emotion is very brief and also consist of a set
of responses which includes physiological, neural, behavioral and verbal mechanisms. Emotions
and fluctuations of mood must always be separated from each other as moods are defined as the
lesser intense feeling than emotions.
