Tesco is a multinational retail supermarket which deals in generalmerchandise and groceries. The headquarter of the company is in Welwyn Garden city,Hertfordshire, England, United Kingdom . In terms of gross revenue Tesco is the third largestretailer in the world. The company operates in more than 7 countries in Europe and Asia. Tescois having around 28% of market share in groceries in United kingdom and they is the leader ofthese sector. The company is having 6800 shop and 450000 employees worldwide. This reportwill discuss about the performance management strategies of Tesco in a joint venture. It willalso discuss about the macro factor that can affect the growth of the company in foreign marketfurthermore this report will discuss about the performance management strategies whichcompany should apply in context of joint venture. Lastly what activities company can do toengage their employees towards the company.TASK 2Performance management strategies that can be Tesco :Performance management strategies are the strategies used to monitor and reward theemployees and the manager on their success . This ensure that both employees and the businessare having clear understanding about their roles and responsibilities in the organisation. Since thecompany is expanding their market by joint venture with other company these are the strategieswhich should be used by the company.Management by objective :Management by objective is a strategic management model that targets to enhance theperformance of the company. This strategy clearly define the objectives of the company to bothemployees and the management(Wilton, 2016). Management objective theory compare the actualperformance to the achievement with their objectives. This strategy can enhance the performanceof their employees and the managers of Tesco in their joint venture business.
