Repatriation is a major issue faced by the company overseas as the employees do not want to return to return to the fast paced corporate culture after spending time on the external projects and global exposure. In case of Sameer Shamsuddin we can derive the fact that after working in the international sphere he had become accustomed to the technological advances and the cultural traits of the country he was living in but when he faced the issue of returning to his own country it became tough for him to adjust to the confined space of the office and adapt to the new environment. In order to work for the betterment of the company and Sameer it became evident that the company should have promoted the strategy of adopting to the needs of the Sameer as thisd will not have led to his quitting from the job. The company should have adopted a flexible strategy to understand the issues that were faced by him in the business sphere after he had come back from Barcelona and the factors that led to lack of adjustment. Thus, if the company had adopted flexible policies that would have led to retaining of an efficient employee in the company and added to the resources. Question 2 Compensation for the manager moving to Australia The factors that we need to consider while deciding the compensation for a manager based in Hong Kong who is moving to Australia is the difference in standard of living in both the countries. The companies that are based in the Hong Kong provide lucrative amount salaries that are in consideration to the standard of living in the country therefore it should be

As the taxes in Australia are comparatively higher than that of Australia so in order to retain the employees the company needs to consider all the factors to retain the employee. The salary that the managers receive should be designed with an attractive plan that retains the employees and provides him with a firm belief that the company has kept all the factors in consideration while employing the managers. Question 3 Who should we believe? The belief should be placed on the workers as they are the ones who suffer from the inhumane conditions in the workplace. They are forced to work for long hours under dangerous labor conditions in China that leads to the exploitation of the labors. The labors cannot even stage protest against the employers as they face the threat of imprisonment. Who is responsible? The responsibility can be laid on the high demands that are arising in the toy markets. The toy makers receive the orders and the workers are pressurized by their employers to meet the demand of the customers. It can be noted that during Halloween, the condition of the workers in the toy factories as they are coerced to work for 14 hours a day and for a constant period of 7 days that takes a toll on their health. 3INTERNATIONAL HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT Firstly, we all should take a pledge that the increasing demand for toys would be reduced which will directly affect the manufacturing process and ease the pressure from the workers. There should be legislations for the betterment in the working conditions of the workers and their wages should be increased that would lead in the betterment of living standards. The working hours should be reduced as the long working hours result in the accidents in the factories of toy manufacturing as the deprivation of sleep leads to lack of concentration. Question 4 Effective strategies The strategy that the leaders should employ to manage their teams who consist of different individuals hailing from different backgrounds is to adopt flexible techniques of management. As different individuals who are from different cultural backgrounds possess different ethical and professional values that guide their behaviour in the team. This makes it the most important task of the leader to develop a firm understanding of the cultures that coexist in the team and required for the betterment of the company. The multinational companies as the name suggests consists of individuals who are from different cultural backgrounds and that leads to the difference in the opinion. The difference in opinion creates conflicting situations within the group which is the responsibility of the leaders or managers to resolve. Therefore, in order to maintain a stable environment that works efficiently for the betterment of the workplace culture the companies should provide their managers with efficient training to tackle and manage the challenges well.
