basis of skills and knowledge so that, they can perform the assigned task in a better way. A
leader makes proper and suitable arrangements for the training sessions that, enables the
employees to take proper credit/credentials for the tasks that are assigned to them (Upadhyay and
Thakker, 2017). Now, it is also required by the leaders to take care of all the government
regulations and the policies that are made in the respect of employees and workers that are
employed in Wall mart thereof (Kamble and Jog, 2017). The European nations are taking the
counselling of their employees and the employers altogether, which is not a part of their training.
By Encouraging Global Collaborations:- Today, the world is moving towards the
globalisation in all sectors in every field and each and every organisation is trying to adopt
globalisation. Globalisation, is the need of hour. The corporate leaders, are now playing the role
of a generalist, in the organisations (Kamble and Jog, 2017). They are focusing more and more
on ensuring of doing the personnel work as a team and that too in an effective and efficient
manner, rather than, focusing on the internal operations. At some places a leader, takes care
about the competitive advantage, profitability and economic survival at time of moving in the
Globalisation (SPINUSO and et.al., 2014). Reason being, by moving in the globalisation, a firm
has to face tough competition with its rivals in the business world. Wall mart is also having many
firms as its competitor, that are, giving birth to cut throat competition in the market. In the
increasing trend of globalisation where the big business firms are hiring only one - two
employees for a particular task and removing unnecessary employed people from that work.
Contrary to this, on the other hand, the leaders of this reputed organisation are trying to reduce
the employee rate of attrition (SPINUSO and et.al., 2014).
Working With The Managers:- Reputed business leaders, provide an opportunity to the
new recruits to work with the new/senior managers in the organisation. As the companies are
adopting and moving towards globalisation then, the role of a leader has now changed a lot. They
are now, working like a business partners of their firm and are focusing on recruiting of the new
employees, interviewing them and orienting them to their workplace (Bhutia and Paul, 2015). In
a typical and complex business there is a requirement of a specialized professional leader. So, the
leaders are required to work in a cooperative manner on the production line or any other
department.

Working Like A Team:- The corporate leaders, are supporting the working culture of a
multi-national company in the International Business, must ensure that, the work should be done
in a team (Bhutia and Paul, 2015). For performing different tasks in the organisation there should
be different teams. Motive of promoting team building is to develop a feel of togetherness among
each employee. Different workshops with the motive of promoting team building and in respect
of accepting cultural diversity and motivating the employees to achieve the strategic goals of
organisation (Bhutia and Paul, 2015). By team building an organisation, should try to train and
develop his employees so that, they may be able to learn the ways of dealing with the working
environment of different countries. Corporate and motivational leaders are playing a very crucial
role in respect of creating awareness about the effective and efficient functioning of employees
across the national borders with the motive of maintaining profitability of company (Bhutia and
Paul, 2015). Motivational leaders of Wall mart are playing an important role in the team building
of employees. They are organising activities and events so that, a team building spirit takes place
among them.
Global Virtual Team:- It focuses on the concept of team members that are engaged and
delivering the projects with a very limited or no interaction with the other members of the
team/group (Magar, Kulkarni and Kyatam, 2015). It allows the Multi-National Organisations to
draw on the widest range of talent pool which is available from among the global base of
employee. There are a number of challenges that are presented by the virtual teams that are
presented globally all around the world. The teams of these people work across the space; time
and national boundaries and communicate only with the help of electronic/gadgets or through
satellites. Most of the teams are working virtually, in some or other form (Magar, Kulkarni and
Kyatam, 2015). It could be in form of different time zones; geographical locations; firm wide
boundaries. The issues in this case arise because of various challenges that are as follows:-
Poor Communication:- One of the biggest issue that arise in case of virtual team is lack of
proper communication. Since, the employees are not present at a single place for the
accomplishment of assigned task in effective manner, reason being, there is a lack of informal;
face to face communication (Magar, Kulkarni and Kyatam, 2015). In this way, the resultant
outcome is loss of information. Until and unless, there is no proper communication, there will be
hindrances in the innovative; effectiveness and decision making. This could be improved through
assigning the small and interdependent tasks to all the teams and by implementing this, a sort of

bonding in form of partnership will be developed which can give virtual teams some goals that
could be achieve together (Bettella, 2017).
Lack Of Social Interaction:- This is the second most important challenge that, shows
virtual training can be draining. When every member of the team is sitting at a different place,
either across the geographical and national boundaries, then, in such case, its quite difficult to get
interacted with one another (Bettella, 2017). It's also a difficult task for the team members to
create an informal working environment. Reason being, if there would be informal working
environment then, interaction with the other team members would automatically increase. The
virtual team leaders should strive with the motive of increasing social interaction by engaging the
team members in the written communication.
Lack Of Trust:- There are chances of fraud in such a case. Its quite obvious that, when all
the members of a team, would be at different geographical locations in respect of time, national
and geographical boundaries then, it's quite a possibility that, someone is doing fraud in respect
of products/services (Bettella, 2017). It generally creates a mistrust of one employee over the
other and it's a very challenging task to maintain and manage virtual teams. Reason being, trust
plays a very important role in the establishment of any relation or business.
So, above mentioned are some challenges that are being faced in the Wall mart by the employees
that are working over there.
There are some traits/qualities of a leader that can prove to be helpful for meeting out the
challenges of global virtual team (Chuangemanee and Punnakitikashem, 2016).
Relationship Building:- To fight with the challenge of lack of social interaction a good
leader should promote relationship building in the organisation. People should adopt the network
building strategy within the organisation. The reason behind building a strong network is it helps
in resolving the issues that arise in accomplishing any task (Chuangemanee and
Punnakitikashem, 2016). But, there are people that take an undue advantage of making strong
network within the organisation and start making personal relationships with them.
Honesty And Transparency:- To fight with the challenge of trust in the organisation,
leader's should motivate the practice of speaking truth with full honesty and keeping
transparency in the work assigned to them (Chuangemanee and Punnakitikashem, 2016). People

who always speaks truth are being given full respect by their teammates and colleagues, that are
working in the organisation. But, there are things that are required to be kept as top secret by the
employees of the organisation. It's quite true that, everything should be kept transparent at the
workplace (Chuangemanee and Punnakitikashem, 2016).
So, these are some qualities a leader should accept and follow with the motive of solving the
issues that are arising at the workplace because of global virtual teams in the organisation.
