Good (Morning/Afternoon/Evening) everyone! Today I would like to take the
opportunity to share my views on the problems or difficulties that the international students in
the various foreign educational students. I personally believe that the landscape of the
contemporary educational system has changed in a substantial manner within the last few
decades. For example, since the traditional times, education has been seen as a machinery
which offers the right kind of tools to the individuals that they can utilize in the latter part of
their lives to cope up with the professional world. Furthermore, with the globalization of
education the focus or emphasis of the students and their parents is on international education
since it allegedly offers the best quality of education. However, there are various kinds of
problems like cultural, religious, language, educational and other kinds of problems that the
international students face.
I personally believe that the internationalization of education has opened new
windows of opportunities for the students and they are having access to the quality of
education that the earlier generations rarely had access to. More importantly, it is seen that
the focus of the students is on getting admitted to one of the Ivy League educational
regardless of the fact whether they have the right kind of qualification and skills or not. In
this regard, I believe that one of the major problems that the international students is the
language barrier. It is pertinent to note that in the majority of the First World nations English
is the official language of instruction. However, it is seen that the majority of the
international students are from the nations where English is rarely spoken. Thus, the students
despite having the right of skills or qualifications often fail to perform in an effective manner
because of their failure to understand the lessons which are being taught to them in English.
The educational system which is being followed in the various First World nations is
a collaborative one and thus the students are often required to collaborate with each other for
the purpose of education. However, this problem of language barrier hinders the students to

rise to diasporic feelings and they start to compare that the practices as well as the actions on

cases, the students often come to hate or distance themselves from the people of the mainland
and try to form friendship with people with cultural affinities similar to them.
