Interview:
Interviewer: Hello Moses! Welcome and thank you for your precious presence for this
interview.
Moses: It is all my pleasure. Through this interview I will be able to convey message of God
to you people.
Interviewer: Moses what does your name signify?
Moses: As you all know I am not an Egyptian by birth, rather an Israelite. I was brought up
by the princess of Egypt who found me from the water. Moses in Egyptian means drawn
from water.
Interviewer: Okay, can you tell me the incident of your birth?
Moses: actually my parents were Israelites living in the territory of the Pharaoh of Egypt.
Before I was born, he was warned by the God that a child would be the reason of his death.
Interviewer: Did you kill him?
Moses: No I did not, rather he killed all the new born Hebrew babies in his state to save
himself. My mother kept me hidden for three months then put me into a bucket and floated it
in the river Nile. The princess of Egypt drew me from the water and took care of me.
Interviewer: in that case you might become the future king of Egyptian why did not you grab
the opportunity?
Moses: no, after I found out my actual identity, I started to sympathise with the Israelites
because they were dominated and exploited by the Pharaoh. Moreover, they were indulged in
communal conflicts among themselves thus were easy to be exploited by the king. I on the
other hand used to feel bad for these people and prayed for them to the Almighty.

Interviewer: Was it the reason, that you left the king’s palace?
Moses: yes. I did not like the luxurious life of the palace rather wanted to find peace of mind.
This was the reason I left the king’s palace and started to live in the mountains. This helped
to realise the love of God to his creation.
Interviewer: I have heard that you saw a bush burning miraculously and heard the voice of
God there.
Moses: absolutely right. At first I was amazed with the sight because despite of set in fire the
bushes but it did not catch fire at all. With this incident, I have heard the voice of God and his
order to choose people from Egypt and lead them to the safer place.
Interviewer: I have heard that God even tried to kill you in your way to save people but you
were saved by your wife Zipporah.
Moses: Yes, indeed. God was examining my passion for my people as well as my inner
strength and boldness whether I will be able to carry out this tough job. God wanted to rescue
His people from Egypt so He wanted to use me to do it.
Interviewer: why do you think he wanted to rescue Israelites from the Egyptians? Why did he
wanted to differentiate among people, whereas all the people on the earth are his creation?
Moses: even I was surprised with the situation and found the explanation. It was 430 years
back when God promised Abraham that he would have numerous descendants on earth whom
He himself would rescue. This is why he asked the Egyptian Pharaoh to free the Israelites
from slavery but the Pharaoh did not believe in god. Therefore, he did not agree.
Interviewer: but Mr. Moses, what do you think? Why did God choose you instead of anyone
else?
