Task 2.2 1. The rime goal of Sean is to gain muscle strength and size to change his skinny appearance. His BMI is also very low and his lazy attitude towards preparation of food makes him eatanything available at that time for his dietary need. The information that I am going to sharewith will be about macronutrients or carbohydrate he is consuming to meet his bulking goals.White breads are simple carbohydrates and they degrade easily into glucose that can end upstoring fat in his body, rather than muscles. Therefore, he should opt for brown breads andbrown rice, which is complex carbohydrate and degrades slowly to give glucose. To modifyhis eating habit I will introduce some fibrous foods in his diet plan so that he feels fuller afterevery meal and does not end up eating unhealthy food in peer pressure. 2. No, I will not send Sean to any accredited practicing dietician. Due to my past fitnessexperience and my study, I am able to understand the need of Sean and I can help him toachieve the goal he has set for his physique. I am able to calculate the caloric need of hisbody and can suggest him his caloric intake accordingly. Hence, I will not suggest him to anypracticing dietician. 3. The strategy I will be using to educate Sean about the healthy eating habits will befocusing in his goals. Sean is a football player and it is important for him to gain muscle massand strength. Therefore, I will be explaining to him about his lazy attitude towards his mealscan let him face difficult situations in future. I will be using examples of different chronicdiseases that can ruin his future as a footballer such as diabetes. His habit of eating whitebreads, rice and any other simple carbohydrate can lead to chronic diabetes. Therefore, I willbe using his goals to teach him about the healthy food habit, which will help him to achievehis goals. 4. The first and most important healthy eating information that I will be providing Maria willbe eating at least eight meals throughout the day to lose weight. one of the reasons for her weight fluctuations. Another information I will be sharing withMaria is her nutritional needs are as important as her child is. She should be taking care ofher health as overweight body can lead to several diseases that is not beneficiary for her aswell as her family. 5. Yes, I will refer Maria to a practicing dietician as her despite of average healthy diet, sheis not been able to lose weight and this is the biggest concern and weight fluctuations canlead to acute health disorders. Secondly, Maria is vegetarian and her nutritional need is highertan any other non-vegetarian people. Hence, a practicing dietician will be able to understandher needs and refer her a balanced diet chart.
