INTRODUCTION
■ Information technology is the wider term that has become useful with advent of globalization and onset of
technological advancements.
■ It is defined as the study of interconnected systems mainly of computers and telecommunications for storing,
recovering along with sending information after assessing the data.
■ It has led to generation of awareness and profit through use of various tools, techniques and methods such as
social media platforms with rise of internet and more.
■ Moreover, there is a glorified historical background of formation of computers from first generations till fifth
ones.
■ Lastly, application of social media platforms with use of internet has led to enhanced levels for increasing
productivity at workplace and businesses.

TASK 1- CLASSIFICATION OF COMPUTERS
■ Introduction: Computer is a programmable device that controls the data transfer and exchange of information
through a sequence of loop of arithmetic and logical operational models.
■ There are four types of computers that have been classified as the following:
 Supercomputer
 Mainframe Computer
 Minicomputer
 Microcomputer

■ It is the most powerful type which has immense ability in computational calculations and estimations.
■ It has helped in improving the loopholes that are found in other types in context to data processing and
performance metrics
■ For example- It is useful in research work like nuclear weapons testing, earthquake mapping, space study for
understanding shuttles etc.
