INTRODUCTION
One of the largest bank in southeast Asia and Malaysia is Maybank. It is
also listed on the stock exchange as one of the largest public company on
the Malaysian stock exchange. It was formed by the Malaysian business
tycoon with few partners in kuala Lumpur.It has an international network
of over 2400 branches and offices with over 20 countries. It provides
employment to more than forty five thousand people. In country Malaysia,
Maybank provides consumer, business and corporate banking as well as it
also provides private banking services through the wide network of branch
offices and automated teller machines involved into it.It also had a wide
range of operations in Singapore with over twenty twobranches operating
providing a whole range of banking and financial services and products to
its customers. The bank also functions across global financial centres like
New York, London, Hong Kong and others.
IOI Corporation Berthed, it is listed on the Principal market of Bursa
Malaysia Securities Berthed. It is one of the major oil players in the
market. It provides employment to more than 28000 people in several
countries. It is a company which is also involved in the business of
undertaking plantation services and resource-based services. The
boyishness of plantation covers Malaysia and Indonesia. The downstream
business consists of refining of palm oil.
IOI is also recognised as a one of the major players in producing palm oil
with a record of managing profitability efficiently through the commodity
cycle. The plantation produce is utilised in the manufacturing process of
the resources also involves in continuous effort to explore new business
opportunities in the downstream segment by doing investment in a new
technology and become more well equipped to produce higher value-
added palm-based derivatives. In the year 2019 a new, machinery also
established in order to produce pharma grade products and also to
develop new cosmetic and personal care applications.
Trend Analysis
On perusal of the data of adjusted closing share price of Maybank for the
last 12 months starting from 01-01-2019 to 01-01-2020, it has been
observed that shares have particularly shown a downward trend over the
period with a little recovery trend in the middle. Overall, the prices of the
stock has declined over the period from highest of 8.95 to lowest of 8.27.
However, the stock has remain stable with not a very large volatility. The
