The Federal Enterprise Architecture Framework (FEAF) was established in 1999 by the Chief Information Officers (CIO) to encourage shared improvement of necessary procedures and data among Federal Agencies. The framework has six sub-architecture spaces that aim to improve efficiencies, expand Return on Investments (ROIs), and upgrade an office's ability to organize vital objectives. It consists of business architecture, information architecture, application architecture, and technology architecture, which provide a common approach for government offices to follow.
