This is the biggest drawback of training and development as the benefits of those activities are served by people to some other company. Time consuming-The actions which are being undertaken in training and development of staff are time consuming and involves huge investments. This makes managing of budgets and finances of company a little bit hard. Also, McDonald's is using on the job training method more which causes delays in conducting tasks and serving to customers and affects the goodwill of the entity. The staff take more time to complete their service as they are being supervised and corrected at the time which makes them do the job again and again wasting lot of time and creating delays. McDonald's provides trainings to staff for improving their performances and giving them orientation and brief knowledge in relation to those areas in which staff is lacking.
