Executive Summary
Purpose of the report: To provide a report for reviewing the organizational behaviour
of all of the companies under Wilson Brothers Canada, in context of the topics discussed
below.
Organizational Structure and Design
Wilson Brothers is facing some problems in integration of the people working there,
and the information and technologies used by the companies under the brand name of Wilson
Brothers. The structure of the organization, which includes the power and roles as well as the
formal authority of the companies. The functional structure under the organizational
structures need to be re-structured so that it will help to supervise, direct, manage and allocate
the responsibilities within the employees of the organization. It will help to direct the
companies to select the processes and presentations to be carried. It will help to increase the
flexibility as well as the customer service can be improved in the matrix structure under the
organizational structure. The organizational design need to be re-designed, which will help
the organization to have a proper workflow, structures, procedures and the systems. It will
also help the company to realign the overall plans procedures to fit according to the present
business realities and aims an d develop the plans for the changes which need to be
implemented. This will help the company to focus more in the technical and human side of
the business operations (Winnubst, 2017).
Job Design
Job design, on the other hand, is connected with specifications, methods and
relationships of jobs to meet the organizational as well as technological requirements of the
company, which will also include the communal and personal requirements of the employees

of the organization. The principles of job design are designed towards the nature of the job pf
an employee and its impacts on their attitude and behavior in the work place, which helps to
engage as well as motivate them. The main of job design is to improve the job satisfaction
level and to reduce the employee problems, which actually leads in employee motivation and
aids in employee engagement in the organization of Wilson Brothers. The principles of job
design like responsibility, accountability, span of control, influence and autonomy helps to
motivate the employees in their respective jobs and to engage the employees in their
respective job roles, which will increase the production levels of the employees as well as the
organization of Wilson Brothers (Berg, Dutton & Wrzesniewski, 2013).
Decision Making
Decision making can be termed as the psychological or emotional process which
results in selecting a course of action or a belief among many alternative possibilities. It is the
process if identification and selecting the alternatives based on the preferences, values and
beliefs of the decision-maker. The decisions are made by following the steps which includes
definition of the problem, establishment of the criteria, consideration of all the alternatives,
identification of the best alternative, development and implementation the plan of action and
evaluation and monitoring the feedback and the solution when required. All these will help to
have an effective communication through the help of acceptance, authority, cooperation and
secrecy. The decision making will help to convey the messages to the employees of the
organization, and will help to have a proper and healthy work flow within the organization of
Wilson Brothers (Winnubst, 2017).
Equity
Equity helps to indicate an ownership interest in a business, like equity for
shareholders or equity for owner, for example, Wilson Brothers in this case. The equity share
