Collaboration Work Practices
There is collaboration within an organisation is very necessary for achieving final goal in
decided time period. Currently Tesco’s all departments are fully working in collaboration, that’s
why currently Tesco is leading the retail sector of the United Kingdom (Nowiński and Kozma,
2017). In this dynamic and modern world, collaboration is one of the prime keys for different
companies of businesses for gaining effective results in the market. There is strong relationship
between different departments in very necessary for promoting collaboration values within the
workplace. This is the main reason that, Tesco’s top-level management has maintained an
effective relationship between all employees as well as all departments. With the support of
collaboration, a department of company can easily achieve its target in effective manner. There
are some major examples of collocation has been mentioned below;
When marketing team want to run digital market campaigns, then it contacts to the IT
department of Tesco for implement various digital gadgets in the marketing operations.
Production department always depends on finance department of the Tesco for fulfilling
its budget related requirement, because production department always need to pay a
specific fund to its raw-material suppliers.
HR department at Tesco always hire talented employees for different departments of the
company.
According these examples, a company can’t run its business operation without effective
collaboration between its various departments, because functions of one department are
completely interrelated with another department (Mole, 2016). That why upper management
within every company should promote collaboration values within its business environment.
Internal Factors: Strengths and Weaknesses
There are some major strengths and weaknesses of the Tesco’s each department has been
mentioned below;
