The study highlights the various functional department of the organisation and hierarchy of
management within the organisation. The report also explains that why communication is
essential for the leadership and management. What role does communication play in leadership
and why the communication is important for an organisation to operate. The study also highlight
the drivers of the globalisation and its impact on business. The study also shows the styles of
leadership in the modern organisation. In order to do so the report has used the Crawford
healthcare. Which provides treatment for the chronic wounds, wound infection etc. (Rodon, and
Silva, 2015).
1. Functional area in Crawford Healthcare
Finance department : The finance department of Crawford Healthcare manages the money and
associated risk in order to help the hospital to achieve its goal. Because if the healthcare hospital
has the strong financial base than it will be able to provide efficient healthcare services to the
patients. The finance department ensures the effectiveness of the hospital which help the hospital
to plan for future. The finance department of the Crawford Healthcare also collect the funds for
the expenditures of the hospital. The finance department looks for the cost of the emergency
room in order to increase revenue to provide good amount for the investment by the hospital.
Human resource department : The human resource department in the Crawford Healthcare
appoints the employees hire skilled and qualified employees for the hospital which are useful for
the specific field of work. Human resource department of the Crawford Healthcare perform the
following activities such as recruiting the candidates, training the employees and communicating
with the members of the hospital and manage the salaries of the employees (Human Resource
Management, 2019). The training programme includes improving the confidence of employees,
building team spirit and behavioural management.
Since the healthcare staff need to be well trained and should be expertise in their field
therefore the human resource department team of the hospital evaluate the current employees
