Introduction
The non-profit job that is performed by an institution or an individual for the purpose
of creating a positive impact on the community is known as community services (Greenhalgh
et al., 2016). The purpose of the report is to understand the function and purpose of the non-
profit organization. The non-profit organization selected for this paper is Visability of
Western Australia. The paper will be focussing on the objectives and practices adopted by the
non-profit organization. In this paper, resources and the funding will be identified for
Visability. The paper will be concluded by summarizing the practices and purpose of the non-
profit organization.
Discussion
Functioning purpose of Visability:
The non-profit organization, Visability aims at providing support and healthcare
benefits by constructing life-changing amenities with the association of innovation for the
people with disabilities. The purpose of Visability is concentrated on the professional therapy
structure for assisting people studying in schools, working in organizations, people of all ages
and the disability found in the community (visability.com.au, 2019). One of the main
purposes include providing or assisting the people with disability with same right and
freedom for their day-to-day life. The non-profit organization aims at moulding the
capabilities of the disabled people for the purpose of helping them with similar options and
similar control over life. The non-profit organization, Visability helps with the factor of
equality regardless of the disabilities or deficiency (Basari & Altinay, 2018). The purpose of
the non-profit organization, Visability can be summarised as the vision of constructing an
improved life for the people with disability.

The main objectives of the non-profit organization, Visability is focussed on structuring
professional therapy and amenities for creating an environment associated with equality. The
objectives of the non-profit organization, Visability can be listed below:
To create an equal environment for the people with disabilities by assisting with equal
opportunities and control over life
To structure quality program and professional therapy session for improving the day-
to-day activities of the people with disabilities
To understand the concerns and gaps between the treatment and assistance for the
people with disability
To construct equal opportunity for the people with disability by organizing events and
programs (visability.com.au, 2019).
To design professional services by incorporating innovation and efforts
To maintain the quality of the services by transforming the life of the people with
disabilities (visability.com.au, 2019).
To be empathetic towards the concerns and unequal opportunities in the day-to-day
life of the people.
To be able to create an environment where everyone have their sense of belonging
with the community
To design programs and therapy practices across all communities, people working in
institutions and organizations, school students as well as it designs programs for the
people of all ages
Fundamental processes and practices:
The practices and services of the non-profit organization, Visability includes, therapy
for youth and children, employment practices, information services for the people with

disability, therapy for the senior citizens and adults regarding constructing the factors of
control over their day-to day life. The practices also involve assisting people with lack of
sight by providing guide dog services. The practices of the non-profit organization is
concentrated on the creation of equal opportunities for the people with disabilities by making
them learn numerous recreation activities, sport and leisure activities (Rummery, 2017).
Therapy for senior citizens and adults includes the practices of helping them achieve their
goals by helping them with the basic but significant activities like, cooking, reading, getting
around independently and talking about the concerns and challenges with the therapist (Leiss
& Gregory, 2017). The practices includes the aim of empowering children with disability by
assisting them with building connections, friendship and with the leisure and sports activities.
The practices like coordination of the sport, recreation and fitness activities by providing
assisting equipment and informational services. The organization, Visability also work
towards improving the emotion state of the people with disability by designing engagement
activities (guidedogstas.com.au, 2019). Communication skills are also developed in the
process of assisting people with disabilities. The practices involve group activities for
communicating with the fellow students or friends by utilizing the specialized equipment
(visability.com.au, 2019).
The process of designing the profession therapy and assisting services are based on
the factors of evolving the meaning of independence for everyone existent in the community
(Knapp et al., 2018). The community services of Visability is designed by understanding the
concerns and challenges of the people with disability. The process proceeds by developing
the goals and objectives of the people with disability (Shakespeare et al., 2018).
Understanding their goals and objectives helps with the phase of planning. Planning involves
the process of designing customized services and programs based on the objectives identified.
The support system is constructed for the purpose of eliminating the boundaries and

restrictions in the day-to-day activities and the activities required for future plan. The process
is executed by the assistance from physiotherapists, occupational therapists, social workers,
psychologists, physiotherapists, Orthoptists, Speech pathologists, mobility practice.

The funding procedure of the non-profit organization, Visability is transparent and
focussed solely on the customized requirements of the people with different form of
disability. The non-profit organization, Visability source funding from public sources and
organizational initiatives. The public funding is facilitated by the open option in the website
and in other social media platforms like, Facebook and Twitter. The social media platforms
and the website also utilized as a source of financial and resourceful portal for facilitating the
need of people with disability. The donation can be facilitated through the conduction of
various campaign and activities in institution, schools and organization for spreading
awareness and participation in the product offerings. The resources used and sourced by the
non-profit organization, Visability are human resources, which are the qualified therapists,
maintenance staff, operational staff and managerial staff.
Conclusion
Therefore, it can be concluded that Visability solely aims at achieving freedom and equality
for people with disability through the process of incorporating innovative activity design and
amenities of equipment. The organization believes in operating with transparency for the
purpose of understanding concerns and personal goals. The design and planning process in
Visability is executed on the basis of customized requirements of the target audience, which
ranges from people with all ages, school-goers, office-goers and community people.
