INTRODUCTION Today, cyberbullying has become one of the major surrounding issues on the internet. For the government and the society it has become important to deal with the issues of cyberbullying(Whittaker and Kowalski, 2015). The present report explores the ways in which the problem can be effectively dealt with. Along with it, the report provides appropriate recommendations as well. MAIN BODY Learning Outcome 1 Cyberbullying is one of the major problems which is being faced by the world today. In order to deal with this problem governments across the world have implemented strong implications on a variety of websites. These websites includes social media websites particularly. Platforms such as Facebook, Twitter and Instagram are the major ones where cyberbullying is taking place on a large basis. It has become important for the government and the people of the society to take appropriate measures in order to deal with the situation of cyberbullying. As per the facts, it has been seen that nearly 43% of the kids have been bullied on online platforms and for 1 out of 4, it has happened more than once. Today, 80% of the teens use a cell phone on a regular basis which makes it a most common medium for cyber bullying (11 facts about cyber bullying, 2017). The governments are across the world are taking appropriate measures to deal with the situation of cyberbullying, yet it has been seen that they are not effectively dealing with this problem. This makes it essential for the countries to introduce new legislation in order deal with the problem. Under new legislations countries can promote strict policies on the organisation such as Facebook, Google, Instagram etc. Also, the government can pass laws under which these social media and internet platforms are going to be regulated on a regular basis to find and discard cyberbullies.Itistheresponsibilityofthegovernmenttounderstandtheoutcomesof cyberbullying and take appropriate actions(Brewer and Kerslake, 2015). The concern is impacting a lot of lives across the world and children are being tortured and harassed on a large scale. It can impact the growth and development of the society and can largely impact the mental well-being of the people living in the society as well.
Learning Outcome 2 As per my opinion, I believe that cyberbullying is one of the biggest situation which our world is facing that is making young people and children suffering from issues of proper growth and development. Children's at the times when they are growing up, or specially in the young age when face bullying on online platforms. It impacts their growth and makes them suffer from mental illness, psychological problems and a variety of diseases and illnesses. It is the high time that our community and the government with adjoined efforts deal with the situation of cyberbullying. The best effort which can be done here is to introduce necessary legislations. These necessary legislation can help the government in reducing the crimes such as cyberbullying taking place on the internet. It can also help the government in ensuring that appropriate growth and development is taking place in the children's and would allow it to ensure their better mental and physical health(Waasdorp and Bradshaw, 2015). The legislations which can be passed here includes setting up a committee which will be addressing these issues on a regular basis. The member of the committee will seek new ways in order to ensure that the practices of cyberbullying are being eliminated entirely. Also, the committee can take regular interviews and surveys from the people of the committee and the victims to identify the best possible solutions. The other important legislation which can be passed here includes developing such systems which can keep a track on the activities of the internet and eliminating cyberbullying practices. These systems can regularly keep a check on the social media platforms where people spend most of their times on and can check is some person is bullying another one. This can help thegovernmenttodealwiththepracticesofcyberbullyingandwouldensureaclean environment where social media platforms are safe and secure to be used by people across the world. Learning Outcome 3 The appropriate legislation will keep the criminals away from bullying the children and other individual and would provide better satisfaction to them while making use of social media platforms and the internet(Olweus and Limber, 2018). In order to pass important legislation the government first requires to make use of effectivecommunicationwith the individuals of the society and the victims of cyberbullying as well. Communicating with them would allow the government and chief officials to understand what important aspects needs to be considered
