Introduction
 Computer is an electronic device, which is used for performing logical and
arithmetical operations.
 In this presentation, a discussion will take place on types of computers and
importance of internet for a business as well as for an individual.
 A discussion will also take place on changes that come in use of
information and communication technologies in business due to social
media.

Classification of computers and their uses
Computer is an electronic devices which uses different programming
languages for sequentially performing some arithmetic and logical
operations. Computers have categorized into different sections according
to their size and uses.
Super computers are the biggest and fastest computer in the world,
mainframe are large sized computers, which are generally used for
storing huge amount of data.

Super computer
 These are the biggest computers in the world.
The speed of data transmission in these are
fastest in world.
 The size of these computers are very big and
also they are very expensive.
 These system are multi – user and multi
processing system, they have very high
storage capacity along with high efficiency.

Main Frame computer
 These computers are very bulky in size, and
require a huge area for installation.
 They use produce high amount of heat while
working, therefore they are needed to install
which can provide good cooling facility to
environment.
 These are very high speed computers and
generally are of 1000 sq. feet in size.

Mini computer
 These are moderate in size, and very popular
in day to day life. These are not very
expensive and medium in size. Applications
of mini computers :-
 Gaming
 Multimedia
 Home use

Micro computer
 These computers are the most popular and
commonly used computer in the world. They are
generally used for day to day and home uses.
 Personal Computers (PC's) are the basic example of
micro computers.

Importance of the internet
 Internet is a wide area network, which is use to make connection between
system globally.
 It uses TCP/IP model for transmission of data using different types of
models.
 In today's world, internet is one of the basic need for every one, either it is
business or an individual.
 Internet help every one to keep themselves updated with latest news and
trends.

Change in use of Information and
Communication Technology
 Information and Communication Technology is an extensional term for
Information Technologies that stress the integration of communication
services for an organisation like instant chat, presence information,
telephonic and other.
 Information and Communication Technology use to provide guidelines for
social media, companies have to make advertisements and promotional
activities by following that guidelines.

Conclusion
 From the above report, it is concluded that computers are of four types
which are classified on the basis of their size.
 Super and main frame computers are big in size and use for huge amount
of data, where as mini and micro are small in size and very much popular
in daily life.
