INTRODUCTION
Management functions in any organisation refers with activities like planning, organising,
directing, controlling and staffing(Waters, 2019).In relation to their human resource and
considered with efforts that will put by the managers in making the organisational goals and
objectives successful within the organisation. Basically management is a function which is the
act of engaging people or employees together to attain the desired goals and objectives in the
market. There are different types of management style is that traditional management, servant
management and team management. The objective and purpose of management is to serve their
customers through doing an effective sale processes. Good managers are continuously working
on ensuring that everything will be done in ethical manner in context of every operations into the
department. Management functions defines the systematic approach to strategically design the
planning structure for organising and directing the organisation. Below report is based on the
company TESCO a British multinational retailers who deals in general merchandise and
groceries and their headquarter in Welwyn Garden city, England. They are considered to be the
third largest retailers in world measures by gross revenues. The report consists of the topic
management structure and their business functions, how will marketing work in relation to
different department functions, categorization of management functions and responsibilities, the
HR role in context of talent management.

Organisation structure in relation to Tesco, relates with how various activities will be
delegated towards achieving an organizational goals and objectives(Rashidi, Mahian and
Languri, 2018). It will define the various responsibility and role's of employees with in
organization. Here are different types of organization structure which will functions into the
business is that Tesco works highly on hierarchical structure.
Functional structure:
This structure is also called as bureaucratic organizational structure which is mainly found in
small-medium sized business. Organisation here divided into special groups which deals in
specific roles and responsibilities.
